I used to watch this show all the time. Lots of stuff I haven't heard played on here.

You can usually tell when he sings with is nasal pushed vocals. He doesn't always sing that way ,but a lot in certain keys. He looks young here. I dig this.

I love that band. Some of their songs are total chaos, but there’s beauty in the chaos. You wouldn’t expect them to be able to pull it off live, but they do

Speaking of Japanese. I heard this on a animation show I watched the other night, and dug it.

Ok, not a song posting, but news of a song.

The new Megadeth album is going to include a cover of the song Ride the Lightning, which Dave wrote a significant portion of. Here's his explanation and info about it:

I know many argue with me about it, but Leper Messiah sounds just like a Dave riff .

Here is a song that I have never learned, but I'm thinking about it because I've become fascinated by it the last couple of days, even though I've heard it a billion times before. I don't know what that instrument is playing behind his piano, but I'm going to learn that part also....it really doesn't show up majorly until around 3:40 in the tune. At 1st it's hidden under his vocals, and then it's starts being more up front.

It is. He wrote the main spider chord riff before it was a full song when he was still in Metallica and asked them not to use it (or any of his stuff), but they used it anyway.

I saw EJ the year after that album came out. That was one hell of an album. I lived in Hawaii at the time and rock stations played songs off that album and Aerosmith's first album what seemed like 75% of the time.

I've never seen him live. I wish I did. I've seen Aerosmith live though.

S.T.D found a book you may enjoy. The Shortest History of Music by Andrew Ford.

It is not for me but I would think a musician would dig it. You'll learn of a classic in the year 1261 called "Sumer Is Icumen".

    Seems early humans couldn't spell;)

I actually think my cousin has this book, if I'm remembering correctly. If He does, I will get it.
