I will probably wait on this. It's one of King's stories I wasn't really fond of. Like Bag of Bones, I was surprised anyone wanted to make a movie of it.

You're probably right about that but I didn't feel like Meg2 was even about the Meg.

I finally watched the Pope's Exorcist last night. It was ok. Had some good parts . I can see how they ended it, they wanted a franchise out of it. Again....it was ok, not as bad as I thought it would be.

Got around to the First Omen last night. Great Idea for fans of the originals, but not completely great in the execution of the story. Either they wanted to turn things their own way, or they didn't pay enough attention to the Originals, or.....they didn't care either way.
For those that have watched the original with I believe Gregory Peck, it's all about the orphanage that they got the baby from in the original movie. Some great stuff, and some confusion also in the idea. Worth a watch.

Long ago I had a subscription to “Famous Monsters of the Filmland”

Every once in a while in a dream the Frankenstein monster will chase me up the steps to my bedroom

Just watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 again for the first time in probably 25 years, maybe longer.

It's so apparent that Michael Keaton based Beetlejuice on Chop Top.

I watched the first one in 1974 at a drive in with three friends

I had my eyes closed most or all of the movie

But I could still hit my mouth with a beer

Young Frankenstein is still my favorite version of that tale.

Any movie with Statham in it you know what it will be like but I still like the stuff he does. The Beekeeper threw me off in the beginning but then kicked into his genre.

Meg 1 over Meg 2 for sure.

Same story around 1970 during college days with an all-niter at a drive-in that featured Night of the Living Dead and maybe 6 others low budget horror films. About 8 of us in my room mate's van. Being quite young we had just discovered Singapore Slings and decided that was the drink for everyone. We mixed up a ridiculously large batch (4 different boozes in it) in one of those multi-gallon Thermos jugs and everyone brought their own giant Slurpy cup. We all got quite polluted. When we returned about 5am we scared the hell out of everyone else in the dorm by wandering up and down the dorm hallways mimicking the flesh eating slurping zombies from the Living Dead 4 decades before the Walking Dead became a household item. :zombie:

Mine are tequila and SloeGin and Orange Juice (which looks the same coming out of your nose and mouth as it did going in)

Incoming. LoL. I seen that at the theaters. You know Chop Top Sawyer is played by Bill Moseley, who also plays Otis in all the Devil Rejects, and house of 1000 corpse movie, and many, many other horror movies.

Well keep looking for it, it will eventually be on one. If You liked the original, it's worth watching, even if I disagree with some of the parts they chose to do

Thinking back I think you're right. That may have done it. Although about 17 years later it was replaced with Long Island Ice Teas which I think had 5 booze shots in each. Duplicated the Lost Weekend episode at a B&B in Santa Barbara with another couple where we polished off Costco sized bottles of all the ingredients and were almost kicked out of the resort numerous times for all the "fun" we were having in the pool and spa.

    "The Knights of Badassdom".

I swear I love this movie. Zero redeeming qualities. Just a, 'let's make a movie, and here it is' fun ride.

I have no idea how many times I've watched that movie. Sort of the same feel as Night Breed. Another classic must watch.

Netflix, "A House of Dynamite" was pretty cool. I hope it doesn't happen while we are playing the Bears;)

Oh I've seen Night Breed, and read the novella Cabal that the movie is basically from. I very much wanted a sequel.
