I think the biggest move this year was Khan getting rid of our best WR in George Pickens and not doing anything to replace him.

Can you imagine how good the offense would be right now if both George Pickens an DK were playing?

I guess I'm not surprised they didn't do anything, but it probably is smart not to give up draft picks if it isn't something long term.

Quite disheartening seeing all of the trades going on and not one by the Steelers.

I think the Steelers are perfectly satisfied with the team they have right now. At the halfway point they are in first place with a 2 game lead over the Ravens. They rarely throw to their #1 WR why would they add a #2 WR not to throw to. Rodgers spreads the ball around and usually there are around 6 or 7 players with a reception at the end of the game. Tomlin's method of winning with smoke and mirrors isn't conducive to winning playoff games but it does get the team into the post season more often than not.

The Pickens crap is sickening. Obnoxious. Some serious love affair.

What has Dallas achieved by adding Pickens? Don't believe another receiver is going to fix the issues that hold the offense back. Lot of weapons on the offense as is. Through the draft or via trade they need to bring in a left tackle and replace McCormick. Jones is a huge liability with pass blocking...he can't.

I don’t think the price for Myers or Shaheed was too steep.

They are either saying we think we can win with this team as is or adding a WR isn’t getting us over the hump either. Both are disheartening views.

Jets made one other trade today: New York sent a 2028 conditional seventh-round selection to the Chargers in exchange for defensive back Ja’Sir Taylor.

The completion of the deal is pending a physical.

Adding Pickens helped the Cowboys average 29.4 points per game, fourth in the league. They are third in yards per game. Pickens has made a huge impact.

They did a poor job constructing their defense, but that doesn't mean Pickens has been less valuable.

The Steelers, on the other hand, do not have the right sort of weapons on offense. Far too often, Rodgers drops back and has nowhere to throw the ball. One big reason the running game has been so inconsistent is that teams can load up on the line of scrimmage. Not only would Pickens have made them more productive in the passing game, but his presence would have created more room for Warren.

If you want to argue that he had to go because he was such a jackass, that's fair, but this idea some folks are pushing here that he wouldn't have made the offense significantly better is laughable.

I think that may be why they signed MVS, as an attempt to pacify Rodgers while they failed miserably to get him the receiver he needs.

I honestly don’t think we are a Super Bowl contender by getting a #2 wr.
Defense played good last week, let’s see if they can maintain.
We are at the bottom of the league in defense. I know people don’t believe in stats, but it sure is a good yard marker

Speaking for myself, thats not the argument I am making. Putting aside all his baggage, from a talent standpoint they are obviously better with Pickens but what I have been pushing back on is this idea he would be posting the same numbers here as he is in Dallas. He wouldnt be balling out here.

The more Dallas looses, the better that 3rd round pick looks.

George is going to want a big bundle of money at seasons end.

Rodgers isn’t long term it seems they are just feeling it out without throwing away the future.

I wanted a good #2 but our win now mode is just a winning season lol.

I'm absolutely fine with not getting a WR. I just fail to see how outbidding the Jags and Seahawks for a 9 game rental is a good idea. NFL trade deadline is still two weeks too early. 3-5 teams are theoretically still in it and aren't going to sale.

3rd is a quality pick. Hope they keep their picks for draft leverage.

Stop actually thinking through things. This is supposed to be a overreacting thread. When I see how all these big trades take a team to the SB, then I will say ,wow, great job. The only team I've seen that it might work for in the latest trades is Philly. After seeing Indys OL not be able to slow us down, I just don't see S. Garner helps that. I don't know what the hell Cowboys are thinking. Philly is the only one I see the trades probably will help.

Dallas is currently sitting at #4 with an average of 29.2 points per game.

But, you are going to blame George Pickens and the offense, for Dallas losing games this year???

Did You like Pickens personal foul last night, and stop of them having a chance, or all the tds he has scored since Lamb is back, or maybe the losing record??
