    was a thing of beauty!

old school, cheap shot - yeah, I get it. circa 2002

He has a $20K + fine coming his way.

But it was the collective FRUSTRATION of 2 weeks in one collision!

He can afford it. Pittman won't ever forget it.

he knew it would not harm the team and he sent a message to the NFL that "I am playing S now"

Why was that even a penalty? It was a clean hit. Defenseless receiver? Which I find idiotic but thats all I can think of.

I didn't think it was a cheap shot at all.. The officials gave the Colts a gift on that one.

This is a Debo "hit him too hard" type penalty IMO.

If he just wraps him up or whatever, I think it's fine.

My guess is that refs kind of reflexively throw a flag there. And it's hard to pick it up afterward. Particularly if they don't want more of the same (or actual cheap shots).

I saw a block from Troy F. That completely leveled and pancaked a Colt. Best I have seen in 5 years.

I agree. Did anyone see the TE from KC get hit in the redzone. That to me is more defenseless, and yet I don't think they threw a flag in that.

I have to look at it again. I thought Ramsey hit him high, which is always going to draw a flag.

Edit: I just watched it again. Ramsey hit him up around the head. From the angle I saw, I can't tell if he made contact with the helmet, but a hit like that on a defenseless receiver is always going to draw that flag and it probably should.

Leave Ramsey at FS and go trade for another CB.

It's not. The penalty was on a completion at the 4:46 mark. It set up their late touchdown.

I was on record in stating that the Ramsey/Fitzpatrick trade would amount to a lot more if Ramsey was a full time safety with some Nickel/Slot duty every now and then. Its unfortunate that the team had to get to this point in the season to realize that Ramsey's best days as a Corner are behind him but at the very least, having Ramsey back as a Safety was definitely a much needed upgrade. As for the Cornerback position, I would agree and would argue that said position is a bigger need than a Number Two WR. The team does need more size at that position but the Secondary is in dire need of an injection of speed at the position.

Alontae Taylor and Deonte Banks would be additional options for me. Primary option is still Riq Woolen.

I was on record with you on Ramsey. I recall not liking Banks’ film at all when he was drafted. Don’t remember exactly why.

Very much a one trick pony as far as coverage was concerned regarding Banks. Primarily a Press Corner who has the athleticism and physicality to match up with opposing WRs. His size and speed are also great. That said, Zone Coverage was and, still continues to be a major problem. Given how much Zone Pittsburgh has played this season?! Might not be a good fit.

That said, given Pittsburgh's lack of speed on the back end in addition to Cory Trice Jr. being all but done in Pittsburgh?! Not too bad of an option. Alontae Taylor is another option. Riq still remains my personal favorite.

I don't think he ever touched his helmet, but I've only seen the TV version still.

My immediate reaction, even after replay, was that the ref should've said, "Personal foul. He hit the pansy too hard."

Some of the best corners went on to move to Safety and extend their careers.

Woodson should have moved to safety with the Steelers instead of leaving and moving to safety anyway.

Lake was another under-appreciated CB/safety. When he moved around he was just as good.

this is where Ramsey belongs, I can see him here for several years. has GREAT instincts and plenty of speed for S.

    LOVE the move....
