I think we just went from "Season Over" to "We have a Chance."

We know the Rats will probably overtake us before the season is over, but this win gives us a fighting chance to stop that.

It is so wonderful to see the defense do something. I feel rejuvenated as a fan.

Everybody took the Colts, so the gambling houses cleaned up. It was a good win and hope they can build on it. Rodgers is in charge of the offense as long as everybody else plays their position. The defense needs to stay on man coverage or they will give away games like they did to the Bengals and Packers.

Yea this was a must win to stay in the race for the division. The Ravens are coming.

I have to agree. They could've easily thrown in the towel due to the past few weeks and being incredibly shorthanded.

I thought the Colts started out disrespecting us today. We got the last word

The media is starting to disrespect the Colts as some suspected they were not as good as their record.

Unfortunately, that also means the media is disrespecting our win today as they basically call the Colts frauds.

The Colts and Pats are by products of their schedules (it's not their fault - beat who you play).

Bengals only win since Sept 14 is the Steelers.

Packers haven't played well since Sept 14 other than the Steelers win.

Not like those two losses looking like they were to powers.

LoL predominantly man coverage is what got us beat by the Packers, and Bengals.

Only in the playoffs the Bills own the Chiefs in the regular season.

How much of this win do you think was putting Ramsey at S so that the middle of our defensive backfield wasn't ass?

I also think that we clean up against QBs that can't find a WR and get the ball out in ~ 2s. But we tend to be really bad against good QBs (who are the guys that can do this).

It was massive. If we only took care of business against Cincy on TNF, we could be sitting 6-2 with only NFC losses. I wouldn’t say it’s been ideal, but 5-3 isn’t the end of the world. We still have 2 pivotal games against the Ravens, and if we want to win the division we will have to win at least one of them. If we can come out and find a way to beat LA next week, I will like our chances. We’re such an up and down team and back to back good wins in the conference should give us a boost into the latter half of the season.

That makes it worse for them.

I think it was very helpful. I also saw Ramsey lined up against the TE in 1v1 situations (which is an excellent use of his skillset). It’s too bad that we really only have 1 CB that can cover at all outside of Ramsey (JPJ). I’m almost at the point where I’d prefer to see Pierre out there instead of Slay.

At the end of the day, every game where the front 7 wins… the defense holds up and gets turnovers. Every time we get zero pressure… we get eviscerated. It’s been as simple as that

It's too bad because it seemed like the plan this year was "we have 3 good CBs, so we'll delay the ball getting out and feast on opposing QBs".

I think it works against the guys who aren't good at making quick decisions.

This is My opinion on only watching the game live on tv, and no replays of any kind yet. Moving Ramsey helped, but they still moved him a bit.
They stopped so much man, and simply simplified the D. We also played some man zone concept on plays that was killing us earlier with people going into motion. I'm sure there is more ,but that's all I could see on the TV version of the game. I can't wait to watch an all 22 of it to really see.

This win has me scratching my head over how we lost to the lowly Bengals. That loss is probably going to bite us in the end of the season.

I think so, because in a vacuum it works.... The problem is that we haven't really put our CB's in positions to defend the quick stuff well, so we just kinda got eaten up on slants and quick outs etc. We weren't really creative in our coverages either (Wilson's pick and a break up by Highsmith during the Colts game were both really good adjustments to teams wanting to get the ball out fast vs. us). I know that stopping the run is important, but it can't really be as simple as that, right? Like in games we get run on at all our pass rush is non-existent (except for the Packers game where I feel like we did fine vs. the run but still got no pressure).

There's still plenty of adjustments that can be made to counteract the "get the ball out quick" scheme that we SURELY knew was something teams would try to do to us. It was just tough to see us be so unprepared for it. It took a few weeks, but we did much better against the Colts. I hope that continues.

We’re in a race for the division and we haven't even played the ravens yet.

every game is important from here on out.

The Bengals receiver said it, they knew what we were going to do.

Our coaches threw out a predictable uninspired vanilla defensive scheme out there and it bit them in the ass.

I'm incredibly happy with the win and the way our D stepped up big time in this game. 6 turnovers along with sacks, hits, lions and tigers and bears. Oh my!
I'm not so happy that in a game in which we had those 6 turnovers we only won by one score.
I'm also not happy with the inconsistency of both our offense and our defense.

Don't get me wrong. I think if our D played every game like they did this one we have the possibility of beating any team going.

I also think that if didn't have a QB like AR in this game we very well could have lost. The run game was pitiful, while being very good in other games, but thankfully we could rely on a short passing attack that got the job done.

Again, I'm very happy with the win. I think if we are able to be consistent in all three phases the sky's the limit. Will we? We'll see I guess. Any predictions are just a fool's game of guessing.
I am optimistic though. We've proven that we can do it.

Sometimes after a Steelers win you can look at the scoreboard and say that the score is not an indication of how close that game really was. Yesterday's score is not an indication of how much better the Steelers were than the Colts.
