Not being put in position to make those plays is. Players still have to make plays, but skill only goes so far when you're not in position to make the plays in the first place.

 

So how many games are we going to lose in a row

 

Their offensive line knocked our defensive line a full 4-5 yards off the ball. These guys are such pussies. Led by a pussy. Tomlin should be fired at halftime. I’m just over seeing this garbage every week. Can’t even stand to watch them any more. It’s nauseating how weak they are and how poorly coached.

That's exactly correct. They had the 1st 4th down schemed perfect, and two missed tackles allowed it to still work

 

Those last 2 plays were brutal. Guys coming on late on the 3rd down play, still trying to figure out where to line up as the ball is snapped.
Then nobody in the gap on 4th down.

That's just inexcusable.

 

Lousy coaching and scheme right there, just let let walk in thru the middle on 4th and 1...

 

Worst defense in the league.

Zero hope that the colts play down to a weak opponent.

 

Tv announcer called it, what the heck were they doing not covering the Center area on the Goal Line?!

D shows a bit of resistance on that drive, but the end result is the same and it seemed inevitable.

And maybe line someone up over the center on 4th and goal from the 1/2 yard line????

My guess is the play was going to Taylor, but Jones saw nothing but daylight in front of him and decided to stroll in. How does a team not cover the middle on that?

It was Harrison who whiffed. Queen made the tackle, but failed to do it cleanly.

They had it perfectly defended and couldn't make a play, then went into complete disarray on the two plays from the goal line. That is on the defensive coordinator not having his guys in the right position. It is absolutely inexcusable to hand them a gap like that on fourth-and-inches from the one.

 

This is so typical of low IQ team play. Unprepared and having no clue .

I agree with this, but I don’t think the defense will change unless Tomlin takes his hands out of it.

 

A brutal loss today absolutely has to get HC fired.

The Colts secondary is their weakness on defense. The Steelers have to find a way to exploit that.
