Will TJ Watt ever be worth this last contract?

Tomlin is too much of a dolt to move TJ Watt on the right edge side or in the middle often enough.

I agree he needs a to move around more, but not sure it is Tomlin or Watt’ stubbornness or he is not athletic enough.

Agree. But his value on the open market is tanking fast. The window of opportunity to get a high draft pick for him may have closed.

Top ten paid edge rushers.

Garrett leads the league with 10 sacks. Gary is 2nd. Crosby, Watt, and Hendrickson are way down the list with 4 sacks, Bosa is on IR, Highsmith is MIA with 1.5 sacks.

Other than Garrett, these guys are not worth the money they are being paid.

I think it's hard to judge a player's worth in a particular moment, though I understand the concern now that Watt has been soft statistically since the end of last year, particularly considering his age. That said, The org has to answer the question of whether they've done enough to help make the player successful. No one is going to straight up beat double teams forever.

look you must move Watt around and these refs.have to call the holds and takedowns on him. Or he needs to start slamming off. linemen punching them. He might get a penalty or so ...but then maybe the refs will understand what is happening. And watch him more instead of just letting it happen. Maybe he needs to break a few players hands. And if Joey Porter keeps holding get rid of him. He is not great unless he is grabbing. Learn how to knock balls away.
