Sounds like good news but i'm not going to get excited until he's halfway through the season and is still healthy.

 

I don't think what shape he's in was ever in question. It's all the injuries year after year that has kept him out of more games than he has played.

 

That would be awesome if we get the old Troy back. All it takes is one wrong hit and Troy is sitting for 10 games.

exactly, will being in great shape prevent him from getting his 1000th concussion, or fix his Achilles' heel problems? When ever he lands he seems to injure something, his body is beat up.

 

Oddly in an interview I watched on steelers.com TP stated the injuries he had last year could be avoided but he would not comment on which factors contributed so you left wondering if it was partly conditioning or conditioning coaches are was he trying to put blame elsewhere other then himself...

I hope this turns out to be accurate, and that what Troy is saying about the injuries being in the past pans out. I'll wait to see how it plays out though, but it makes me happy thinking of Troy flying around like Superman again (provided that the flying around doesn't cause him to get hurt).

 

And here I thought they only did farm reports.

Uhhhh... Troy is REALLY well conditioned by Head and Shoulders dude. It is definitely NOT a conditioning problem.

I read the same thing, and wondered the same thing.
How exactly could it have been prevented?
Shame he refused to go into detail, `cause it just leaves ya wondering exactly what he meant.
He didn`t exactly clear it up, with his comment about scar tissue, and your body "evolving" over time, and having to evolve with it...
I just hope he`s right, and he stays healthy for theses final couple/few seasons of his career.
I have no doubt he can still be a force to be reckoned with, but only if he manages to stay healthy, and some injuries simply are NOT preventable. Esp. with the reckless abandon he plays the game with...
Here`s hopin he plays all 19 games or so the next couple seasons(Playoffs/Superbowls, included)
