Tomlin complaint....I wish he would lose his temper on the sideline and really get into a player, at least from time to time. Maybe if he shows some fire during games it would rub off on some of the players. Maybe not.

 

Indeed. Kinda why I haven't really started "told ya so" threads. Its kinda pointless to me. Therefore, I went to the draft board and posted ideas on how to fix for the future instead of moaning about today haha. This mess isn't fixable; firing Austin won't suddenly cure the communication issues of our back 7. It is what it is. I'll watch and root em on anyway.

I find this ironic since in 40 minutes I plan to do just that.

 

I've had low expectations for a while now.... so Steelers being mediocre doesn't surprise me. If Steelers beat the Colts who I think are the best team in the NFL... then I'll be surprised.

In my mind I'm trying to turn back the clock to 2004 in those back to back upsets of the Eagles and Pats but this time it's the Colts and Chargers.

 

What great memories! To that point... those wins over Pats/Eagles were the coolest thing to happen to the Steelers franchise since beating the Rams in the Super Bowl after the '79 season!

Extremely unlikely but if the Steelers win these next two games against the Colts and Chargers it will be really tough for the Ravens to catch us. On the other hand if we lose both of them then the Ravens will be already tied with us a couple of weeks from now.

I have been hanging my head down low since the Bengals game, preparing myself for a losing season.

But, maybe this was the plan all along. I was very confused this offseason when the Steelers said they were going all in for 2025, yet managed to trade away none of their early 2026 draft picks to bring in a player to put them over the top.

Are the Steelers tanking the 2025 season, to get a high pick in next years draft??? Tired of always drafting in the 20s; maybe the secret plan is to be a top ten team, so we can move up to a top 5 spot for a QB?
