See Micah Parsons from Packers or Max Crosby from Raiders.

If one of us provides a great answer, does that person get to be the new DC?

The Packers and Raiders primarily play a 4-3 with 4DL. We do not. I have been thinking the DL we have drafted recently could be moving us more in that direction. Guys that can play inside or outside and shift to get better matchups up front.

We run a hybrid 4-2-5 base 3-4 scheme.

The thing is that everything we've ever heard about Watt is that he is awesome at bending from his side and can't really do it from the other side. This is probably a mobility / flexibility thing where he's got elite mobility one way and normal (for NFL edge rusher) mobility the other way.

This is assuming that Watt and the Steelers aren't idiots who have never had the thought that maybe moving him around would help.

Spencer Anderson played his best game as a Starter in his young career against Green Bay. That was my biggest takeaway. Broderick Jones handled Micah Parsons much better than I thought he would. Micah did get a sack but it was to an inside stunt. Troy also seems to be settling in.

Cannot say the same for the IDL. Outside of Derrick Harmon, yikes.

Jordan Love threw two ducks, and the Steelers defense couldn't intercept either of them .

Highsmith has the big contract. They are not going to let him sit as well as being the starter before injured. Sitting him more and giving Herbig major snaps would indicate an issue. On this team the highest paid play even if they are not the best option.

Highsmith has not lived up to his contract and now we are seeing the bloated contract that Watt received I feel will go down as a mistake.

Your right that Watt is double teamed, chipped more then not but he has problems with being single blocked as well.

Elliott made a poor play on the first one, but it sure helped the Packers that Kraft got away with pushing off right before the ball arrived.

The second one looked like Thornhill getting out of position. He wasn't deep enough.

Thornhill looked like a little league outfielder misjudging a fly ball.

100% and also did anyone catch Ben R on his show talking about how well they used to be making halftime adjustments. I distinctly remember several people on this forum saying halftime adjustments don't even happen with some giving time statistics on how much time they have etc. Ben basically shredded all of that saying they used to pride themseles on how well the coaches made halftime adjustments. So the coaches which Tomlin is the head of suck at it now. Now Ben should explain all those halftime adjustments that were made by the defense when we gave up atrocious amounts of points in our most recent playoff losses. I say they lost their ability to make halftime adjustments a long time ago. Our coaching staff sucks period and nothing will ever change until we clean house in that department period full stop!!
