Watt has been bailing Tomlin out for years with splash plays and game changing turnovers. Watt isn’t the same anymore and now Tomlins scheme is exposed. Tomlin has the same problem as STD he is a perpetual Optimist and wow that creates a positive atmosphere to an extent it creates an unrealistic view towards others and your own ability to get the most out of them. As a result he is ridiculously loyal to the extent he holds onto players he shouldn’t , he keeps players way past their prime, he starts players for too long when he should have replaced them and he holds onto assistant cocorindaotrs and popstion coaches when it is obvious to everyone that he should have moved on a long time ago. There is a bit of arrogance in his way of thinking , thinking he has the ability to turn others around when nobody else could. Its gotten old. I am done seeing them waste cap space on signing veterans past their prime. How many more old CB’s do we have to sign (expensive at that) before we realize this doesn’t work. Sure it worked with Haden but that doesn’t mean it becomes a blue print.

The Bengals game could have gone either way, and the bad thing about that is I want to think of us as much better than the Bengals. I don't know that we are.

The Packers are a good team. We kicked too many FGs against a good team. We allowed 21pts in the 4th after playing a pretty stingy game prior to that. Those FGs looked good enough until they didn't.

Next up is the Colts. I've been able to see the Colts the past 2 weeks. They put up 38 in both games. They looked really good doing it vs the Chargers on the road. And the Titans looked really bad in this week's game. They are going to be another tough game for us. We need to turn those FGs into TDs. Defense will have to stiffen up in the late part of the game.

Yeah when we play the really crappy teams that’s when the Tomlin Style shines.

I don’t understand your post. It sounds like you are making excuses. Fans have had enough. This has been going on for ten years with each year being worse and more evident that Tomlin is a very average to above average coach and he needs elite level talent to carry or compensate him. The record especially against good teams bears that out. How much more proof do you need?

He has been given everything a coach could want. He has all the control. He has had remarkable talent, He has the highest paid defense and they are ranked at or near the bottom. What more do you need to be convinced we need to part ways as an organization. His pride and ego is his own downfall. If he didn’t seek so much darn power and didn’t think every coach and player was a reclamation project that he had the power and ability to somehow enlighten, heal and aspire to be greater than they actually are, we wouldn’t be in this predicament. I think Tomlin is a great human being but I think he is short sighted in his own inabilities and blinded to things as a result. It clouds his judgment. He for some reason thinks he can rebuild guys to greatness when they lost a step or with coaches he sees something in them no else does and becomes rediculously loyal to a fault. U fortunately he has surrounded himself with a bunch of yes man so nobody is willing to step up and confront him and save him from himself at this point. Somewhere along the way he got to big for the organization and stop listening to others. The same thing happened to Belicheck. It’s time for him to go.
