After a 4-1 start the Steelers are on a 2 game losing streak and it looks to get worse with a very tough schedule to finish:

    Colts
    @ Chargers
    Bengals
    @ Bears
    Buffalo
    @ Baltimore
    Miami
    @ Detroit
    @ Cleveland
    Baltimore

At 4-3 with 10 games left the Steelers will have go 5-5 at minimum to preserve NHALS. What is your final season prediction? Is NHALS safe?

Still a 9-8 team in my opinion...Btw,the week 17 matchup is against the Browns, not Chicago a second time!

Even if he has a losing season the narrative will become but, but, but he's only had 1 losing season.

I picked 8-9 but yeah the one caveat to that is if the Ravens need to win that last game to improve their seeding or not.

Cleveland game in December looks to be a challenge at this point. Hell, Miami won big yesterday...that game won't be easy either.

Khan needs to make some trades if he wants any hope of salvaging this season.

I’ll see what the roster looks like after the trade deadline to decide but if no changes are made, I dont see how Tomlin doesnt have his first losing season. If the defense doesn’t get any splash plays, may as well chalk up a loss.

I see five "better than 50/50 odds we would lose" games on the schedule. It doesn't mean we would lose all 5. But the odds are against us.

    I see 2 games about 50/50.

I only see 3 games we "SHOULD win" - and those type games scare me the most. :tequila:

It's looking like 10-7 is the best we can hope for. 9-8 or 8-9 most likely.

And I give it about 55/45 odds we either find a way to win... or the wheels come completely off.

With the way they've played the past couple weeks, losing out isn't as impossible as it seems. You can easily make a case as to why each of those teams could beat us. Miami possibly turning their offense around and us playing like crap in cleveland lately, makes the "winnable" games seem less likely. Bengals are a toss-up.. they suck, but ultimately we had no answer for their offense.

I really don't see how adding to the roster truly helps. We need to add via subtraction if anything. We also need to see more of Echols, Pierre and Trice (when he gets healthy) moving forward.

Those guys arent the answer, they are depth pieces. They need bonafide starters at WR and DB.

I'm not saying they're the answer. There's no quick fixes to this team. Relying on bandaids created this mess. We need draft capital and worry about the future.

This isn't a Superbowl roster... One player isn't putting us over the hill. I think we should just keep our picks.

I dont believe in quitting. Do whatever necessary to win now.

They were in control of that game until the Tucker play. Losing Elliot was a big blow to the secondary. Not being able to run the jumbo package after Seumalo went down is probably why they abandoned the run. I dont think they should have gave up on it so easily but thats different argument about the coaching.

I don't like the idea of quiting myself, but I see this season as a lost cause regardless of what moves we make. The team is going to quit on Tomlin, if they haven't already. Heyward's post game interview hinted at this. If we can get a WR or CB on their rookie deal, then I'm cool with it. Getting more prehistoric relics will just set the franchise back further.

Echols played a lot yesterday. Watson beat him on the deep ball in the third quarter. He is also terrible in run defense. Watch the clip of Jacobs' touchdown run.

They had to deal with some adversity at the start of the third quarter. Sure, the officials screwed them, but they reacted horribly. They crumbled.

The 59-yard pass to Kraft was a devastating because of how it shifted momentum and the loss of Elliott. Tomlin called it a "significant knee injury." I'm assuming that means his season is over. The defense has been erratic with him. Without him this season, it has been horrid. He was the only good safety they had. If he is done, they don't have a viable replacement. They also likely lost Ekuale, which hurts the run defense.

Seumalo may be back soon, but losing him hurts the running game. This team has very little depth on the offensive line and they can't really run the jumbo package without him.

I'm not saying you quit and go into sell mode. You don't do that when your team is in first place. I am saying that they should not give up future resources for rentals or older players. This team does not look like a real contender for even a playoff win, much less anything more.

Trade for players that help you past this season. Draft picks are just a gamble, I get wanting to keep those, I do too but at the same time, they are not sure things.

Im not sure how they replace Elliot if they don’t trade for someone.
