Bruce Arians: Don't rank Andrew Luck over Big Ben

Interview with Arians regarding the player rankings as voted on by NFL players. Of course I agree with him regarding Ben vs. Andrew Luck (and other things he says about Ben), but its not surprising coming from Arians knowing how much he and Ben were/are buds:

This list is a joke if Ben is the 61st ranked player on the list and the 12th ranked QB. I've been a little critical of Ben at times and referred to him as an (almost) elite quarterback, but only because I think he's a little lazy when it comes to film study and game preparation at times. He's a top 5 quarterback in this league without question!

 

Yeah, there are some other suspect rankings on this years list, but this one takes the cake. At least most everybody (even Sapp) are recognizing it.

 

as always jack i totally agree with you.... and to even post the story and to comment is nuts... the story is written by obviously a know nothing writer so to even comment on it gives it far too much merit...

The post is about Arians' comments about Ben regarding the way the players ranked each other, not about a story or something some writer said....

As far as whats written on the linked page (in addition to the video), the writer is agreeing that it's crazy to rank Ben that low, and that the players got this one wrong.

 

quit agreeing with him all the time. his head is swelling.

 

this list is only for the 2013 season. ben wasen't real stellar last year after getting hurt. they missed the playoffs, so i could see how they would rank playoff qb's over him last year. whether thats a true or fair assesment though, i guess it depends who you talk to and what team they root for. i could believe 64 players were better then ben last year.

 

Don't discourage him, mac. It's good to know that somebody on this board agrees with me from time to time.

I'd actually be worried if you started agreeing with me, BF. Of course, we do find common ground on occasion, though rare it may be.

 

Those rankings are a joke I don't even watch those shows of top 100 players.

 

My first take was Bruce is trying to send a message to Ben when his contract is up that he would be welcome in Arizona

 

I'm the same way. NFL Network is getting as bad as VH1 for making lame countdown shows. LOL.

 

Or discuss it as they vacation together in GA.

 

I agree with you guys when your opinion is the same as mine! Remember...I've already thought what most of are just now thinking. Think about that!
