I also can't wait for Ben to kill him statistically in that game as well. I hope this becomes bulletin board material. I'm not really a big fan of players having to be motivated by anything other than winning but in this case I will make an exception.

I think Tanehill is going to put up some pretty impressive numbers this season.

Nothing surprising, Ben has completes a lot of great deep throws, but he doesn't have a super strong arm. He floats them, where as Rodgers and Flacco and throw them on a line with more accuracy.

Strong arms doesn't mean great QB tough: see Kyle Boller.

Wallace has already had his best statistical seasons IMHO. It's downhill from here and he'll be a cap casualty in three years.

On what basis, Scott? Wallace is not a number one receiver but Miami s banking on him to fill that role. That's a big gamble, IMO, and it's a bet I think they'll lose big time.

Boller was exactly the example I was going to use. He could get down on one knee at midfield and throw it through the goal post. That didn't translate too well to the football field.

I think Scott is just stirring the pot. With or without Wallace, Tannehill just isn't that good.

I don't see anyone discussing whether what Wallace said is correct or not. I mean lots of people commenting and saying "F-him" or "I hope he comes across the middle and Clarks lays him out" but is he wrong? Lets face it Ben can throw deep but it is often ugly. Being generous two in seven of his deep throws look like highlight film throws, the rest is a mixed bag. Maybe cause he is scrambling and doesn't get a chance to plant and use proper mechanics or what have you. Some of it is injury and age. I know that is one reason I hated the BA bombs away offense that saw so many deep throws to Wallace. They were ugly more often than not. Ben badly overthrows him trying to get it out in front and off target not really his fault. Wallace has to slow down to under thrown balls negating that speed advantage and letting the CB or safety get back to make a play. I mean how many times did it hit him in stride, on target where he can catch it and just keep going to the house? Seriously I'm asking?

I would expect a younger less seasoned(aka banged up) QB to be able to throw further than Ben, it would be a waste if he couldn't. However as a wise man once said "good against remotes is one thing, good against the living that is something else." Chucking it in practice is alot different than chucking it in a game.

Personaly, i dont care what he say's or what he thinks, he is no longer a Steeler so i could care less what he says, I have noticed that a bunch of players are coming out and makeing claims that there gona do this and there gona do that, To me its all a bunch of turkey talk ... till they prove it on the field....

as far as the clark laying him out comment, i would expect nothing less from clark against any wr from another team. thats what wallace is now. i hope they knock harrison on his butt too. crunch mendy and run over colon. why wouldn't we expect that?

as far as ben throwing deep, well you win some you lose some. ben was never a good hit them instride passer. long ,medium or short. now he's usually pretty good at putting it where the defender can't get it. thats what takes time for the receivers and him to get on the same page. ben is probably very different to play with then a brady or manning. they are timing guys. good route runners required. ben makes his guys have a controlled improvisation game. of course i think they are trying to change that. good luck though.

Let's root for one good-enough 2013 season to ensure we get the number 1 3rd round compensatory draft pick !! Then, he can go all Titus Young on the Dolphins. LOL

One thing I will say for Ben's deep throws is that in his defense for like 5 years of his career he had dudes hanging off of him for the majority of most games and throws. Also if the general consensus is that Ben can't throw the deep ball then does that mean people are sub-consciously coming over to mine and my man JackAttack's way of thinking on the Haley scheme??? Man Jack we are SO ahead of the curve. LOL. Just playing around guys. Send all of your hate mail in care of "JackAttack5958". LOL!

If there isn't a vast improvement, you'll probably spend days sifting through the applications from potential candidates. ;)
