Is there anyone who thinks we will win a post season game?

Groundhog day is way more entertaining than watching the Mike Tomlin coached steelers.

Pittsburgh Dad had a line that really resonated with me......'The Bengals game was a perfect example of a Steeler's playoff defense, and that is not a compliment.' Probably not an exact quote of what he said, but it is pretty close.

Prior to their last game before the bye, they were talking that he could possibly be back for that game. But the money was on after the bye. The game against the bears next Sunday is day 28 for Lamar being out. News reports are filled with lots of guesses. Most of what I have read seems to be doing that cautious lean towards him being out again. If the Ravens drop a game vs the Bears, they will be 1 and 6.

I could easily see the Bengals and Steelers fighting for 1st and 2nd in the AFC with neither team having the wins to get the wild card. If the Steelers can't win the division over 3 teams with crappy records and back up QBs, we will not have enough wins to get a wildcard spot. That is my prediction. Win the division or sit out the playoffs this year.

The Bengals have an easier schedule in difficulty to the Steelers (IMO). Division games plus Jets, Bears, Patriots, Bills, Dolphins, Cardinals.
The Steelers have Packers, Colts, Chargers, Bears, Bills, Dolphins, Lions.

Our defense better get their sh** together by next weekend, or we may as well plan on a top 10 draft pick without having to trade up. I don't think next weekend is a must win or we are doomed game, but I do think that if our defense plays anything close to last week, it sure does point to our doom.

I don't think he is milking it. But I am sure that there is a lot of calculation going on with the Ravens about making sure he is 100% before he comes back. Coming back at 90% will probably get them to the playoffs, but not to the SB. I bet they want to make sure that he is completely better or at least as much as he can be without losing too many games to get to the playoffs before he comes back. Ironically, us losing could factor into that. If we had won, I bet Lamar would have played next week if at all possible. But with us losing, they are no further out of 1st than they were a game ago. They still play the Steelers and the Bengals twice each. That gives them a lot of room to swing the AFC North.

And our run defense.....even a Lamar'less Ravens team could probably have a 175 yard rushing game against us. A 9.8 yard average for the Bengals RB against us.......how does that even happen? He would have probably had a lot more yards total if Chase was not open every other play for the entire game.

I do think we finally have an offense that can pull off a play off win - Rodgers is good.

But the D totally sucks and they will give up around 40 points like they normally do in the playoffs.

So if Steelers win the division and play one of the lesser wild card teams, they have a chance to win the shootout 42-41.

Most movies have happpy endings. I think the fans have suffered for 8+ years. Do not confuse the applause at the end of this movie with good coaching.

    Old,slow and tired!

And they deserve a good part of the blame for the poor time of possession since they can't leave the field on 3rd down
