Harrison still played he just wasn't happy with his snaps, oh well you don't let a 40-year-old player dictate his playing time.

At least his team played in his games very often, which means his teams were often contenders, regardless of who their QB was... The legendary successes Cowher had with Roethlisberger in 2004 and 2005 proved that Neil or Kordell was the problem in those games.

Tomlin was unable to beat Tebow or Bortles in the playoffs because of his sorry defense

Tomlin and his sorry defense have made the AFC title game once since 2011 despite often being a weak AFC outsider by one or two teams in the 2010s, that's 14 years, and they still refuse to change.

I don't care about some washed up 40 year old getting playing time.

He was our best pass rusher the season before when the steelers make the afc title game, the only time since 2011

That was LeBeau that lost to Tebow, maybe Ben shouldn't have turned the ball over twice to Jacksonville gifting them 14 points.

42 points even with 2 turnovers on offense against the number 1 defense is enough to win a playoffs game normaly but not with our sorry defense....For the game vs Tebow,it was not a Dick LeBeau defense in that game...We all know that this is Tomlln who run the defense since LeBeau is gone and this is according to Keith Butler but Butler also said that Tomlin had more power with the defense in the end of the LeBeau era, also according to Butler and in that game,it was not a LeBeau defense, since the steelers had several cover 0 in that game for no good reason...Just to look at the Thomas TD in the first play of Overtime

If Lebeau would run the defense in that game, the broncos would not score a single TD

Again,he was a bench warmer from day one of the training camp that year....He would accepted to be the number 3 pass rusher of the steelers that year but he was not even in the rotation

I gotta give the MT guys credit at this point. I’m not sure what voodoo magic is being used to convince them how great he is after this same crap every year!!

This defense has sh!t the bed for 10 years now or more, besides being the highest paid in the league.

They have to get a little physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage.

and have to figure out a way to put more pressure on the Qb. Run more blitzes, have TJ stunt to the inside…cinci’s o line is not that good, we should've done better

    or is TJ hurt?

The Steelers win the game without Ben gifting them 14 points . Blah, blah, blah Lebeau ran the defense until they got rid of him.

what’s an AFCCG? Is that some kind of a late round playoff game? I vaugely recall knowing those at some point in the past.

‘I’d gladly give up all of these non losing seasons to have a record of 1-4 in AFCCG games over the last decade and a half.

Tomlin is the biggest chocker in the playoffs ever. Stop defending the losses - it’s sad.

The steelers win the game if our defense is just average

I've seen many playoff games where a team won even with two turnovers on offense, especially when they had over 40 points.

The Steelers were already down 7-0 before our offense's first snap... stop defending our sorry defense.

Pretty much have posted the stats to show that the Steelers don't protect the MOF. It's open season there.

So, there were two teams Sunday that showed their grit.
Hats off to the Denver Broncos and for drafting Bo Nix.. that guy is for real.
The other one is the Green Bay Packers which we have to play.

I thought for sure both were going to lose to trash teams.
Denver has been playing well and Green Bay looked like they would walk away with that division.
Green Bay in particular looked like maybe they would be a defensive force early on.

These next three game will be difficult to get a win, given our defensive woes.

The Packers will be tough on both sides of the ball, and I think we get routed at home. I figure our chances at pulling off an upset are 0%
The Colts are probably the best team right now, that's going to be another beating at home. Ditto our chances of pulling off an upset.
The Charges are faltering, but still dangerous. We can win that one, but it can go bad real quick. Upset chances maybe 50/50.

Well to be honest they might have tried all kinds of stuff but once they realized Chase was killing them why didn't they go double team on him the rest of the game? And I mean EVERY snap double team him. Jam him immediately on the line and take him out of the game. Let someone else beat you. If you watched Flacco 90% of the time he looks Chase's way first so two things happen if he is double teamed. 1) He either forces the ball to Chase with a higher chance of INT or 2) He has to look at 2nd 3rd options which takes more time and raises the chance of pressure/sack.

Just seems logical to me but yet I only saw them double team him a handful of times and they paid the price.

You watch the Steelers long enough you know that they have a high probability of winning the next few games. Tomlin has been doing this for almost 2 decades now. Unexplainable loss to sub 500 teams and then coming back and beating teams they have no business of beating. I'd really be interested in Tomlin's total win/loss over 19 years against sub 500 teams. I would bet it's #1 in the league

If you're referencing the Bengals game, I would agree.
The Steelers tried man-to-man, zone, assigned players and double, it didn't work.
I have never seen Ramsey look so bad, ever. How did Teryl Austin accomplish that? He was supposed to be a DB specialist.

I would have thought that in at least the 2nd half, they would have jammed chase and keep a safety over the top.
But because our Dline sucked and made the worst rushing team in the league look like the best....
It was a pretty good meltdown across the board.
