Is it clear now? Our coaching sucks.

I'll take that bet Tomlin gets us to 9 and then let's off the gas.

Yeah after seeing the Steelers have never won a road division game on Thursday, and Tomlin 0-7 on Thursday night road games, I’ll give him a pass lol.

Yeah I changed my mind. Steelers are just really bad Thursday night on the road. They have never won a Thursday night division road game in team history.

If this is the start of a 4 game skid downward, someone has to be relieved of their “coaching” duties.

This pretty much sums it up. Despite the turnovers, the offense did enough to win this game. 31 points should have been plenty. This defense is so inconsistent. One game they can shut a team down, the next game **** the bed.

We'll know after the next 3 games if Steelers are for real or not. I'm negative as hell, but if they go 2-1 during that stretch... there won't be a losing season.

Same as the Raiders game last year. Fields gave the defense the lead with about 2 minutes to go. I think the Raiders marched something like 90 yards for the win.

It has become painfully obvious Tomlin and Austin know squat about defense and/ or adjustments.

    Hillary was right.

This is a glaring testament to the coaching and preparation that this team has under coach cliche', the players have all changed and the results are the same.....kind of reminds you of our playoff success doesnt it?

Yeah, it definitely didn't impact the play... but whenever you have that much jersey its likely to get called. I know we moved early on the "tush push" too, but that is what every Philly push looks like and we've never seen them flagged for it.... got us somehow. It all sucked.

Yeah I backtracked a bit after realizing Tomlin and the Steelers just don’t win on the road Thursday night.

    -Tomlin 0-7 away Thursday games
-Steelers winless in franchise Thursday division games.

2-1 and I’ll feel good again(for a winning season, this team will never win another ring with Tomlin). I’m still rooting for them to win though.

How many times have we heard from other teams fans how awesome our HC Mike Tomlin is? It’s like they want us to keep him on the Steelers team. I wonder why?:hmm:

The point was those were critical mistakes on offense, ones that should not happen. Frazier got sloppy with his hand placement, which led to the hold wiping out Warren's touchdown run. McCormick moved early, costing them a fourth-and-inches conversion. They end up settling for three instead of seven. Metcalf needs to secure that ball so Turner can't steal it. That is another sloppy mistake, one that was probably a six-point swing in a two-point game.

He was calm, but his tone carried weight — this was not a loss to shrug off. “We certainly won’t be defined by this performance,” Tomlin added. “But it was certainly disappointing tonight.”

0 and 7 on Thursday games is the definition of futility. Go away

Agree 100%. Mike Tomlin used to be a secondary coach once upon a time and surprise, surprise, that unit is a consistent problem.

You do realize you are in a losing battle criticizing the offense?
    Steelers could’ve scored 100pts, the Bengals would’ve scored 101.
Defense lost this game, not the refs not the offense…the DEFENSE

That simply isn't true. The offense could have easily put them up three scores before the Bengals' offense woke up, then won in a shootout. They had every opportunity to bury that team early and threw them away with sloppy penalties, the miscommunication on the flea flicker that shouldn't have been, and turnovers in the first half. That could have easily been 28-14 Steelers at halftime and it's not like all the Steelers were doing was throw the ball all over the place in the second half. They kept running their offense.

The defense was the larger culprit, but the offense blew opportunities throughout the first half.

I think Tomlin is known to look past perceived gimme’s. I think he did it this time again as we saw the defense unmotivated and lost with no good game planning.

he doesnt respect the bottom feeders. He may say he does but the results on the field say otherwise. Its been his modus operandi for a long time. You have to take care of business and treat every opponent with respect (the Jags in 2017 remember well, as do the browns in 21). This is Tomlin though, he’s carved a nice career for himself - hes not going to change. But the rooneys really need to move on from him if they want to go for number 7.

    I shoot 100 every time I play

My way of keeping score is to see how many holes I can complete when I hit 100

Then I go to the bar because after 100 I lose interest
