I didn't know Pickens played defense; the offense scored 31 points that's enough points to win this loss is on the defense.

If we don't cause 3+ turnovers, we just get dog walked. The good thing is that it at least looks like our offense should be able to keep us in a ton of games. Having to play on TNF on the road had to be a factor when the whole defense stinks in the game.

This is typical of these losses. There are many culprits. The defense was horrible. The pass rushers disappeared. Queen got caught out of position multiple times, including the Bengals' last touchdown. Watt was invisible most of the night. So were Harmon, Herbig, and Wilson. Ramsey got abused all night, including the game-winning throw to Higgins.

That said, the offense could have done even more. Rodgers forced two interceptions, though the second one was Metcalf's fault. Pickens catches the ball that turned into an interception because Metcalf couldn't catch it cleanly. He catches that Hail Mary, too, if he's in the same position Metcalf was in.

Yeah, the defense was horrible, but the offense could have overcome it and trading away Pickens is the main reason they didn't.

That's a ridiculous hypothetical statement saying Pickens catches that ball there were two defenders covering Metcalf on that sideline interception.

Defense had no answers and didnt look like they ever heard of that Chase guy.

Bottom line, the offense gave them the lead with a big time play and defense failed just as they failed the entire night to stop the Bengals.

It wasn't a fluke at all. It was a sloppy play by Metcalf and a great play by Turner.

They don't necessarily need turnovers, but they need pressure on the quarterback. The few times they got that last night, they got stops. It didn't happen nearly enough.
