    1. Signature Tomlin loss to an inferior team

    2. For most of the game, the d-line looked tired and uninterested

    3. Playing man to man on the Bengals receivers wasn't working in the least, and never once did the scheme change

    4. 1st half the offense took the Bengals defense lightly and got away from the game plan

    5. Mike Tomlin totally lived in his fears concerning Flacco

    6. Hopefully Roman Wilson and Muth will remain a part of the offense going forward

    7. O-line was the most consistent part of the team

    8. Refs gave the home team most of its 1st half points

    9. Outside of his half sack, TJ Watt didn't look right

    10. This was possibly the quietest game I've ever seen by a Steelers linebacker unit....

It's totally different if the offense also struggles. But to lose that game when the offense scored 31? It's beyond inexcusable. I feel pretty confident that will cost the Steelers big time down the stretch.

We do the same song and dance every ****ing year. Tomlin refuses to make adjustments. I legitimately don't understand. He's been at this for years - football is hard, but doing your job shouldn't be.

I’m sick of seeing Watt trying to fight getting chipped all night…it just makes him tired by the end of the game.

they gotta come up with something else.

    11. Tomlin lived in his fears, but he had a lot of help from Rodgers, Ramsey, the rest of the defense.

    12. Teams that lose the turnover difference, usually lose.

It's hard for me to blame Aaron. The first interception was brutal, but the second was both an incredible play by the defense and a knuckleheaded one by DK. The only solace I have is knowing that the offense is definitely good enough to contend against good teams.

As a football fan I thought this was a great game. Two old warriors throwing haymaker after haymaker all game long. This is a game I'll remember for a long time for how entertaining it was. Hats off to Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers who put on quite a show.

Metcalf had a really bad night. Rodgers did kind of force the ball on the second interception, but he made a great throw. Metcalf has to catch that cleanly so the defense can't steal it. He pretty much disappeared the rest of the game, too.

I keep saying this all over the board, but Metcalf should have had the Hail Mary. Pickens catches that. He had great position. All he has to do is time his jump properly, and the ball is his. He misjuidged it horribly.

    The difference in the game:
Flacco's adjustment floater to Higgins on the boundary was perfectly executed to set up the game winning field goal. Rodgers' floater to Metcalf in the second quarter was a disaster interception that turned the momentum.

Flacco didn't make a single damn mistake. Rodgers was great most of the game, but he made a couple of them. I still have a hard time blaming this one on Rodgers given how horribly the defense played.

porter sucks. that's all he knows how to do and was the same in college. plus he can't tackle. pitiful. i'd trade him for a ham sandwich. pierre has played better this year. queen thinks he can just knock guys down with his shoulder bump. terrible this year at doing that. be careful or you will get traded for the cheese on that ham sandwich. pretty bad.

Defense was uninspired, tired slow and old. The fact that this is the highest paid defense in the NFL is embarrassing.

    1. Lbs were absent against the run and on and pass coverage is a joke
    2. D-line no push inside against run or pass
    3. OLBs = QUIET the whole night
    4. DBs were unprepared. No plan or skill to stop Wideouts

At this point… Porter needs to ascend and take the #1 wide receiver.

You don’t take the jersey number of Uncle Ike to take the second best wide receiver.

Our LBers and DL, including Watt, were basically invisible all game. I blame this mostly on scheme. Everyone seemed out of position.

were not good on short weeks.

Smith needs to play PF and RW more

Unfortunately tonight is why I just have so little confidence of this team changing things around. MT just finds a way to lose games like this every year. Chance to put the division on edge early in the season against a team without their QB and top pass rusher.... Loss. And in an inexplicable way, which is letting a back up throw for like 350 yards and giving the worst rushing team in the NFL more than double their output on a per game average for the season. Just unbelievable.

This offense is competent. We figured out how to run it, we have a really good WR1 and a really good RB1. We have the best QB play we've had in over a half decade. Our OC is calling great games and great schemes. Our f'ing top paid defense is just Jekyll and Hyde out there. Heads the D dominates, tails we get dog walked... that's it. It's just unacceptable, but very predictable.

I always teeter on giving credit to Tomlin for a lot of things, but also its so hard to downplay his obvious flaws. I tried so hard not to be negative this week thinking this could/would happen, but here we are. I'm sure we will find a way to lose to Miami or Cleveland later in the season to top it, but it still stings when the "Tomlin Special's" happen. Its predictable. Its dreadful. But it happens every year and is going to continue to happen to MT coached football teams for eternity.

How does a player like Chase get SO open with a 5 yard force field around him so consistently???

This is an insight into our future. Been telling people all week their record feels like fools gold. I have lived this so many times over the years. Nothing feels like it’s on solid ground.

Typical Tomlin 30 minute football. We are always good for about 50% of the game. The rest is slop.

Agreed, I'll take a couple of holding penalties, maybe a pass interference penaltyto hold Chase to 9 or 10 catches, instead of 17. Chase was abusing Ramsey most of the game and single handedly got them 3 points before the 1st half with only 1 timeout remaining, kept Ramsey to move inside on his first move and kept beating him outside where he was getting out of bounds to stop the clock.
Ramsey really showed his age tonight physically, too bad he didn't think out certain situations like a vet.

You throw four touchdowns on offense and your defense, can’t get enough stops to win no wonder Tomlin didn’t want Joe eyebrow to play

    3. You can't play a zone vs Chase and Higgins.

Flacco threw the ball nearly 50 times. Over half of those throws were to those 2 receivers. Defense couldn't get home enough.

Penalties and turnovers lost this game. Not the coaches, players execution.

Who is Chase Brown and why is he running so free?

they need to move Watt around - too predictable for teams to load up on the right side.

No, the coaches definitely helped there. They ran on us a good bit out of the gun. They kept our nickel defense out there and then we got gashed. That team ran on nobody and we pretty arrogantly didn't game plan to stop it. I honestly think we thought our DL would just beat their OL and that was that.

The offensive penalties taking points off the board didn't help, and the second INT (the DK one) was one that never should have happened (and also likely took points off the board)... but you can't give the coaches a pass on this one. We got out schemed. We were pretty content sitting in nickel all game and letting Brown rip off runs and then playing weak zone behind it. We made very little adjustment (and got scored on in the second half nearly at will).
