With Tomlin it is all about earning trust. I think getting the ball at the end of the game was either a test or an indication that he's earning trust.

 

I think part of it was giving him an opportunity too. The game was in hand, so why not? I also think that part of it is trying to keep guys healthy. No reason to run Warren into the ground up 14-17 points. Its the same reason why we took TJ and some of the other stars on defense off the field late. No reason to get an injury in a game that is won. The added benefit of getting a rookie some PT and confidence is there too.

So unless proven otherwise I’m going with

 

I'm not going to say he made it up, because I never had a reason to before, but I couldn't find it either.

 

Tomlin likes him so much why hasn't he had more than 14 -36 - 2.7 average carries through 6 weeks?

 

Considering the fumble and the KO gaff, I have no issue with how they are deploying him. The kid has to earn it and thats healthy.

Additionally, what is his confidence level? Will one more major mistake completely ruin his NFL career? It seems to me it might!

I have really liked his burst the past couple of weeks.

 

Is this the week when they perform shirt arm inspections?
