That stuff after the play with Queen showed he was getting frustrated most likely by the abuse he was taking where he barely got passes off. If he hopes to be a long time starter for the Browns he better get used to physical play and work on mental toughness.

I went through the play by play twice. It appears next gen stats is including plays that were negated by penalty

 

I take option #2.

The NFL pbp has 18 plays for 140 yds to the MOF by Grabriel (this includes Porter's PI yds). The NFL might use a slightly different definition of MOF than NGS and their tracking system.

The Middle of the field is often a soft spot, where you throw to when you're taking what the defense is giving.
Throw in front of the LBs or behind them.

Gabriel did a good job as did his coaching. They knew he had to throw quick, so they sent receivers across the middle.

Queen and Wilson did a pretty decent job but the rotation guys are not known as cover types.
Cole Holcomb is one of my guys from way back when. He has game smarts and uses those to be in the right spots but he is not quick, so he doesn't recover well on a slow decision.

I'm not a huge fan of Austin's defense.
But they did have a good plan.

I believe You must also take into account that is the place where teams that are ahead like to allow teams to pass, because it's easier to make a team tackle, and you can keep the clock moving.
