    Why am I imagining a "Flinstone-esque" era? ;)

Good point, I can’t explain that except to say the Steelers ran away from Garrett mostly .

Im happy with Rodgers but Darnold would have been a good get. He’s proving it wasnt the Vikes system.

This is the thing that I think is so impressive about Watt (and presumably Garrett too).

They have been on teams with **** offenses for most of their careers.

So important for Jones to work out, very good game for him.

Stadiums are not owned by the NFL. Acrisure in particular is leased to the Steelers among others. It's up to the stadium authority to resod when needed. But I'm sure the NFL could pressure them.

Moreover to the point is the uptick in snaps for Darnell Washington. I understand that the team does want to employ jumbo packages against 4-3 Fronts but the fact of the matter remains that Darnell Washington is slowly becoming TE1 for the team. Given how he can block his ass off and catch the ball in traffic, definitely something to look forward as the season progresses.

Realistically, he's been more than fine since having a very rough week 1. If we think he can continue to improve, I don't see why he couldn't be the LT of the future (even if he's only average). The OL as a whole is looking a lot better, so lets see if the arrow keeps trending upward.

Personally, I think this is the answer. We likely will trade or cut Freiermuth and roll with Darnell and Jonnu. I think that the offense wants to run effectively (which Washington helps) and if he can prove that he's a quality enough target in the pass game to hurt the defense, then there is zero reason to make him the defacto "TE1". We can get another "all around TE" to supplement his playstyle. If the offense was trending more towards the passing game, Freiermuth would likely flourish more.... But the reality is that he isn't a strong blocker and will be best in an offense that throws most of the time (think Cincy or Dallas). Our offensive trend just means that he will see less usage and get less opportunity.

Still needs polish but man... by far the best I have ever seen Broderick Jones.

Definitely looking forward to more. No doubt a confidence booster no less.

JSN is a legit superstar at WR. He's averaging a 100 yds/gm receiving.

Could be the Seattle’s system too. Geno Smith is back to his below average self away from Seattle. System and coaching matters a lot. Steve Young long agon and today’sMac Jones, Baker Mayfield etc have benefited from better system, and Aaron Rodgers, Justin Fields etc went the other way with bad systems (Jets).

While I think that TJ is better than Garrett (I think Parsons is better too), Garrett is a tier 1 player. Jones even doing ok against him is fantastic and I think that he did better than ok. Stood up to one of the best pass rushers in the league.

Mike McDonald is no Kevin O’Connell. Smith is stinking out the joint because he cant stop throwing to the other team.

Darnold is just a good QB that took time to figure it out. It is yet to be seen if he’ll overcome the problems he faced towards the end of last season. His last hurdle to becoming a complete QB.

Muth has had less than 100% effort since his new contract IMO. I think that is one of the factors that is causing him to see the field less (along with his less than stellar blocking). His new contract is big, but all of his guaranteed money is in year 1. He has a lot of incentive to not get hurt......along the lines of 35 million if I remember the numbers correctly. I can easily see the Steelers parting ways with him to get some salary cap back. They would be stupid not to do so with the level of use he is getting now. You can't have the 9th highest paid TE having only seen 11 targets total thru 5 games. For comparison, Washington has 9 targets and Smith has 20. Snap counts are Smith at 171, Washington at 164 and Muth at 133.

Brings me to a funny story
We were all drinking and a guy asked a woman if she wanted to join the 4H club.
She said what do I got to do to join?
    He replied
