We would have got a 3rd. It was a stupid trade. Just like it was dumb for the cubs trading for claypool.

Pickens is not a problem right now because he’s being fed in an offense that’s averaging more than 38 pass attempts per game. We are averaging 23, and he would not be the primary option in our run first attack.

So you're not aware Lamb played as @1 in 2.5 games. While pickens was pushing #3 at times

Furthermore last week he was targeted 4 times, while two players were targeted tweets as much (9 each).

I actually watch college (I'm from Georgia and have ties to UGA), so I follow players.

I watched Pickens at Georgia. I wanted to draft him. And we did. I think GP has the body control and spatial awareness of Lynn Swann. (Proprioception) He is unreal. He is special.
He's also special in that he should be on meds. Controlled meds. Idk, just being mean.

You talking about swift? He's a bad boy. While at Georgia, a lot of us felt he could be better than Todd. But he never hit like Todd did in the nfl. But swift still has some legit years. I'll always hope the best for him.

One thing I'll never understand is pickens was this mental at UGA.

So why the heck did Tomlin draft him?

And for the record I see it as passion and on the low side. Moss, TO, ochocinco were a lot more. (Even though I liked them and i like that attitude)..... heck I think DK is on pickens level. Go ask seahawk fans.

Its a fair gripe. Pickens is a super good player and Dallas got him for a steal because of how he acts. This team could REALLY use someone as talented as him, though who is to say he'd behave if he wasn't getting much action (or much run downfield). I get why we traded him, but he's a really good player who is going to have a really big year on a team with a good passing attack (and bad defense that means he's going to be involved a lot). If he continues to play like he's been, he's going to be PAID in the offseason.

Idk about Pickens level. He can get personal fouls throwing some punches or pushes after the whistle, but he's never had the crazy sideline meltdowns, the burner social media accounts criticizing QB play, etc. He's no saint, but Pickens is pretty clearly worse (and Im a big Pickens guy).

The only play to keep Pickens here is if they rolled with him as the number 1 and never brought DK in.

But seeing as how DK is balling, does it really matter?

Another Week and another TD and 100 yard game for Pickens.

George over the Entire Steeler WR room this week. Don't feel so bad Pittsburgh, George Pickens was the best WR in the NFL this week.

But he didn't cry about it. Which is what a lot of people here are hoping for.

I like DK. But DK and Pickens on the field would have been insanely scary

Not necessarily. We could have paid two WR's under the assumption that we are rolling with a young QB on a rookie deal.... The bigger problem is whether Pickens would've behaved for a rookie and the ups and downs. Again, I understand why we traded him, we just didn't get good value. The main issue I have with it is that if DK gets injured we will be lucky to get a single WR open ever. The position is devoid of talent (Austin is decent but oft injured). We could've held onto him for one more year and gotten a 3rd or 4th round pick in compensatory either way. The compensation was too low to just give him away. We essentially signed a similar player, traded the other away for the exact compensation we would've gotten for keeping him and letting him walk. Just not a good deal all around.

There is no way they could have paid GP after his behaviour at times last year. They had to get him out of the locker room. He looks like a beast right now and seems to behave when things are going his way but he is a cancer on the team at times of adversity. We saw that last season.

Personally I’m glad he is gone but it’s disappointing that they haven’t brought in a legit #2. Maybe they make a trade before the deadline

I don't believe that. I think Aaron Rodgers, who George Pickens said was his dream QB in the NFL, could have gotten 1 more year out of George in Pittsburgh.
