I still haven't seen a Qb I'd be willing to trade away multiple draft picks, or players for so I could move up to draft them.

I would tend to agree. Still early but I don’t see one either.

Unless we had a shot to move up for Caleb Downs or Avril Reese. Which we won’t.

I live in the fear they will draft him.

Not after he is out with a major injury.

Then again.. past two 1st Round Picks in both Harmon and Fautanu had some injuries coming out; Harmon namely dealing with some type of shoulder issue if I recall. That said, neither ended up on Season IR the day they were drafted. Allar just might should he be selected.

Keep in mind though that I still don't believe that he would have been within the Top 50 anyways pre injury. Now?! Likely he falls to the 3rd; 4th Round being the worst case.

On the related note for Drew Allar, I do feel sorry for him. Truly.

Injuries can happen at any time. However, that doesn't make them any less easier to see. Wishing him and his family all the best.

Welp, at least Drew will be there if the Steelers want him.

Thats sucks though, tough break for him.

    It is heartbreaking
I still don’t want the Steelers to get him
Unless mikey can work his developing magic as he has done in the past with qbs
I would stay away from Sellers also and I am a Gamecock fan

Allar to me is a mixed bag.

On one and PSU had weak head coach, OC, and WR's

One the other hand, he has regressed and failed to pass for 225 + yards in many college games.

He has the arm and size ... , but can not put it all together. Is it heredity or environment?

I view him as a 5th round talent.

IMO, he is a bit slow mentally, and misfires too much on overthrows and under throws.

Was hoping that staying in college would allow him to develop in the areas he was lacking. Like you said, didn’t have the coaching or players around him but how much of it was that and how much was lack of talent.

Whoever drafts him will be rolling the dice.

Allar and Sellers were two guys I zeroed in on at the start of the season. Still in on Sellers.

But as others have said, who was thought to be at the top of the draft next year at the start of this season wont be the same list by the time the draft rolls around.

i really don't think there are any of them any better than what we have now. i wouldn't waste a first on any of them at this point. fix the O-line and D-line and CB and WR spot.

Sellers if smart, will come back next year.
No where near ready for NFL

Yep, keep saying that they will use the surplus’s of draft picks to finish building out the roster. See what they have in Howard and then draft a QB the following year if they need to.

It rarely works out when QBs are drafted based mainly on physical traits.

Allar has consistently shown a lack of necessary mental traits to be a top QB. We’re talking years of being a guy with unfulfilled potential. Could the light come in for him as a pro? It’s possible, but seems very unlikely to me. Buyer beware.
