We play a bad team starting a rookie QB.

We should be likley to win this game 4 times out of 5.

    I expect a beat down.

The Browns have a good defense and a strong running game. Dillon Gabriel didn't look lost in his first NFL start last week and didn't turn the ball over, it will be a competitive game.

That is true, but they are still the Browns.

Well they beat us last year and the year before that with Dorian Thompson Robinson getting his only career win against us.

The steelers have only 1 win in Cleveland since 2018(2021) but at home, the steelers are much better. Of course, it doesn't guarantee a win, but it's just to say that lately when the Steelers lose against the Browns it's in Cleveland.

correct - there is no such thing as a BEAT DOWN with Mike Tomlin as HC

have people not realized this yet, after 20 years?

this will be a heart stopping, last man standing, line Chris Boswell up sort of 4th quarter, sorry to tell you.....

Aaron and our O will be harassed ALL GAME LONG

last years home win was AWFUL, just an AWFUL game. and that was several weeks after that DISASTER in the snow in CLE

first half was miserable, 2nd half , gut some int floated to us as a gift in the 4th Q to seal it.

    Nothing is easy with Tomlin.....

I think you talk about the 2023 season when the steelers won 26-22 because of 2 defensive TD by PIT....Last year, they were up 27-7,and beat the browns 27-14

Yep. Somehow DTR won with a 56% completion rate and 55 QB rating. Didn't help that Pickett had a 56 QB rating.

And last week Gabriel didn't crack 59% completion.

The one positive; the Steelers have won 2 in a row vs Cleveland after the bye. One a nail biter, the other a beatdown.

In 2023,our offense was so bad in Cleveland that they finally fired Canada after that game

All division games tend to be competitive, all these teams know each other, very well.

I might need to do some meditation before this game.

Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph's helmet in the same area, there could be some beatings happening.

That's a broad brush you are using there. There have been beat downs but they seem less memorable because of the mediocre play in games following them. The Kevin Greene HOF celebration beat down of the Chiefs, TJ completely destroying Cam Newton and the Panthers on Thursday night, Vance with the stiff arm from hell to destroy Fitzmagic in Tampa on MNF come to mind. Most followed up by typical nailbiter play in games after.

Thankfully our team has been great in close games with Tomlin at HC. I just wonder if it is because he's great at finding ways to win (I'd argue against this since his in-game management/decision making is pretty consistently bottom tier in the league among HC's) or he's just turned a lot of two score wins into one score wins by mismanagement....

Or how about the back to back Ben Roethlisberger 6TD games vs Colts and Ravens (both teams were good) in 2014... only to be followed up by losing to the Vick Jets.

It will come down to turnovers.

I expect a win whether close or a blowout.

If the steelers don't turn the ball over, expect a blow out.

Otherwise it will be closer than expected.

Again... people are underestimating the Browns defense. Their D line is gonna eat our O line for breakfast.

Are we factoring in jet lag into the estimation? Obviously if they shut down the run they could really shred the OL but if they can generate a run game you might see things loosening up. It is a rivalry game though

Close game, can we keep Rodgers protected from Garrett.

    Stains coming back from London.

Steelers off a bye and at home.

I expect a win, but close game.
