Tyreek hills has been undeniably talented. However, I think he's getting at that point in his career that Antonio Brown was at when we got rid of him. There is no way that the Steelers should give up a bunch of money and possibly trades to pick up a wide receiver that looks like he's going to become a headache. He's facing a possible suspension and he would be very expensive for us. Remember, the NFL can suspend people based on their conduct policy which does not require any kind of a successful court case. They are frowning pretty heavily upon domestic abuse, as they should. Chances are probably pretty high that we could pick him up and then have a suspension to deal with.

I think that with Metcalf, Austin, our tight ends, and our running backs, we are okay on hands to catch passes. Another great wide receiver would be nice, but sometimes it's just not worth it economically or otherwise. This is one of those times.

I remember the video from when he got pulled over for doing like a hundred miles an hour down in the dolphin land. He came across as a jerk on the police videos. Just look like someone who's going to cause issues for whatever team he's on.

50 years ago my doctor dad who said anyone who smoked marijuana should be put in jail also said “cocaine is not a bad drug”

I drink beer so I feel I have no right to pass judgement in this regard

Now women children and animals that’s different in my book

I just got wind of a guy near me who has been seen beating his dog

It would appear when I get back I should go pay a visit

I’d definitely pay him a visit. I have absolutely zero tolerance for people who could hit a dog. Makes me sick.

I’ve been beating the WR2 dead horse since Pickens was dealt. Or, really, since we lost Dionte. I, personally, think we do need another guy & that it could be the difference between making the playoffs & making a serious playoff run.

IMO, we’re a legit WR2 & OT away from being real contenders. I just don’t trust the physiques of CAIII or Wilson to make it thru a season unscathed, at this point. And, if DK misses time, we have no one to, adequately, compensate.

And, I think Hill is, & has been, one of the better weapons in the league for the last 6-8 years. He’s a TD waiting to happen every time he touches the ball. But, I have to agree with most, here. I don’t think he’s the right fit & I believe he’d be more of a headache than a shot in the arm, at this point.

If not for all the distractions, he’s actually the ideal guy to pair with DK. And, AR having Hill & DK to throw to would be almost unfair, IMO. But, the timing just isn’t right & I think it would be a mistake to get him. I still hold out hope that they’ll eventually add another competent WR, however.

It would not be the first time I have “acquired” an abused dog

Strangely enough the previous owner elected not to pursue the issue

This fellow came into my possession about 12 years ago

As you can see he is doing all right although much like myself he is slowing down

Although You are leaving out many functional addicts who have completely turned their lives around, without hitting rock bottom. Also there are all stages of functional addicts, and You are correct some become full blown addicts, and are no longer functional, but not all. As I've said , I've been around many. What's the saying.....when You have run with the bottom dogs in a pile, don't be surprised when all You see are teeth, claws, and a$$holes.

I frown heavily on the hitting women. Wife's daughter's husband (at the time, divorced now) had been beating on her. When we went down to visit, we were supposed to pick up the grandkids for a trip with us. I had a 'talk' with him. Got a boxer's fracture from it while beating his ass. Worth it. At the time, my wife and daughter were both very mad at me.......but, sometimes you just have to stand on principal. Wife's daughter now wishes I could do it again now that she finally got rid of the drug using loser......lol......You don't get to beat on a woman around me. Might be a chauvinistic way of thinking, but I don't care. Old enough to have been raised to respect your elders, give up your seat on the bus to someone that needs it more than you and to not hit women.

Good football player or not, don't want to see a wife beater on our team.....my opinion.

So much for the Steelers being interested....

I suppose they'll be connected to any WR that might be tradeable until Austin proves without a doubt that he is a WR2 (which I think he will do this season).

Honestly, if the Steelers cannot use Roman Wilson, best to trade him to greener pastures. As for who specifically?! Either Chris Olave or a surprise in Xavier Legette from Carolina. Chris is the more obvious of the two and is the more proven but Xavier would at least warrant a discussion. Pittsburgh showed a lot of interest in him in the draft a Year ago and things have not panned out well in Carolina.

That said, Xavier still has both the WR Profile and archetype that Arthur Smith looks for in his Offense. Biggest question though is can he earn Aaron Rodgers' trust?! Man... gonna be tough for certain. Wild card is Garrett Wilson though it doesn't seem likely.

    I fear you are correct.

Whatever his shortcomings off the field, hate seeing that happen to talents like him.
