Oh that is why he was a 6th round pick?

No one cares about that what round pick someone is. A player is not his pick status.

Yes, Howard is much better and didn’t fold in big games.

    I guess Michigan doesn't count?

    Not anymore.

I cannot decide if he is the next Kerry Collins or the next Joe Flacco.

That said, James Franklin and his lack of usage of the Transfer Portal to nab more Receiving Talent is leaving Allar to look a bit worse than he already is.

I do believe he is worth the 1st Round Investment though he will need to be redshirted for certain.

Regarding the 2026 QB Class, the team keeps taking a look at John Mateer and Sam Leavitt. Add Dante Moore of Oregon to the list of names as well; Drew Allar likely not being left out either. It is clear to me that Pittsburgh is doing all the worthwhile research it can for the QBs. I'd be remiss if I didn't include Offensive Tackles either; Isaiah World, Spencer Fano, Caleb Lomu and Drew Shelton... to name a few.

As for where Pittsburgh scouted for Week 5 of the CFB, link is here.

This all said, I am with @S.T.D@S.T.D on the off chance the board doesn't break Pittsburgh's way that Cornerback will be next up. JPJ and presumably Jalen Ramsey; assuming he doesn't fall off. This is, more or less, what the Cornerback Room consist of. Brandon Echols is there too but he isn't a true Boundary Corner that the Steelers need.

I saw the USC QB, he needs a lot of work. The Illinois QB was very good. He looked like a man going to the NFL. His QB IQ, command of the offense, ball placement / accuracy , and arm were solid. He ran a bit too. First time watching him. There was a lot to like.

His name is LUKE ALTMYER. I now rate him among the top 8 draftable QB's, as there have been some hyped flops / disappointments this year.

There still may end up being a half dozen QBs taken in the 1st round next year, but many likely won’t be the same guys that the talking heads hyped as top picks heading into the season.

No they will not. Tomlin wants agility.
