My wife just asked if I was planning on sitting in the chair and just watching football all day. To which I replied no, I’m gonna watch the race also.

 

Kind of wish the Bye was middle of season.

 

I have to do blood pressure and some other BS for a month for my Doctor. I did it in morning. I did it with minute left in game. Top number was 118 in morning and 140 near end of game.

 

We did finish it on offense. Wasn't that the offense that was out there kneeling the ball in victory formation??

 

They should also send the 4th down td play of Watt being dragged away from the QB

 

Not only Watt but watch Herbig on that play. The guy he beat was chasing him from behind and grabbing him by the shoulder pads with both hands.

Agree that Gainwell surpassed expectations here.

I think it's worth remembering that he had a chance to get that last yard on 3rd too.

It doesn't take away from the game he had though IMO.

IMO, biggest issue in the last few minutes was giving up an 80 yard pass. That cannot happen in that case.

Next biggest issue, the incomplete pass on 2nd and goal from the 11 with 4:21 left. You run there. Take another timeout or kill another 45 seconds. Either makes it much harder for MIN.

Then, not going for the FG. I would have kicked it, but I don't think this is a bad decision. Up by a bunch. Outcomes are: score (ends the game) or make them go the entire field to use up clock and their remaining TO. The issue here was giving up a huge pass play. You play prevent here. Give up the short (and even medium) stuff because it takes time away from them.

 

Right. Put the ball in Rodgers' hands. The decision to go for was fine.

 

And his QBR was 38.6. Carson Wentz, who had a rating of 84.5, had a QBR of 40.3

I thought it was strange the none of the announcers mentioned that when it happened. Or maybe they did and I missed it, but then they didn't even mention it when he went out with the hammy.

 

Am i the only one that mentioned Wenz threw for over 350 yards???? I couldn't have teed that any better!!!

 

So, he also threw two interceptions and was sacked 7 times.

 

To me, the bottom line is points allowed. Twenty one points allowed is good defense.

 

He wasn't injured during the TD celebration, I have seen Jamarr Chase do that same TD celebration before.

Yeah I saw that, and understand why he went for it.

It just goes against how he coaches late game. He's got one the best, if not the best, records in 1 score games for a reason.

Anyone else notice that the camera coverage was….off, for want of a better description? Sometimes when the QB went back to pass, he went out of frame. They did not seem to know where the action was at times. Did the network have to hire some local cameramen who were not used to doing American Football?

 

I don’t know how to calculate it, but it goes from zero to 100. It seems to be way more involved than QB rating. And a bit more subjective imho.
