With the utmost respect for The Rolling Stones, I ask why??? They are in the studio making an album for 2026 release. I stopped buying their stuff in 1979. Some Girls last good album IMO. I can't see anybody under 50 giving a crap about a new album from 80 year old men. I think Some Girls was their last big selling album.

I've seen them twice 30 years apart and it was most of the same songs. Fantastic concerts both of them!

Why You gotta piss on their cornbread??
If they can do it, more power to them.
It's what they do, after You take away the actual work of it all, they do it because they love it, and it's their thing. I don't sell $hit, but I will play till I can't, because that's what I Love.
Hope this didn't come out harsh.

I understand what you’re saying;however, there’s a time for everyone to hang it up. I’m not saying they should stop playing. Just that it’s time to stop reliving their glory days. They seriously haven’t released a great record in 50+years.

I'm not changing my mind on this. LoL. To you, and Me it may not be a great record, but to them it maybe.

Perhaps they should have a listening party before releasing new material? Let’s compare this new record to Let it Bleed and see how it holds up. That kind of thing. Or stop playing stadiums and sporadically put on shows(unannounced) at smaller venues. At this point they’re just selling tickets because of their name. They’ve become the Starbucks of r&r. Crappy coffee and only popular because of marketing

Harsh you say. Not at all but don't be using those Arkansas sayings on me. "piss on their cornbread" I can't see Mick and Keith sharing cornbread. ;)

I wish I could do it.
I just can't hate on them for doing what they Love, and still making money while doing it. IMO they have some of the greatest songs in the History of rock& roll, and some of the worst, but they don't care what I think, and they shouldn't. I would love to see them in a small setting.
This is one of the greatest tunes in the world IMO

It would still be good, just not as good.
Just like this song would be good, but not as good without Clare Torry

I actually looked for a video where her vocals had been removed. Obviously, that was an exercise in futility or I would have posted it. However, I did stumble upon a video of Keith performing at the Apollo Theater. I only mention it because of one of your previous posts and it illustrates my point from earlier perfectly. These guys don’t need the money. Their families don’t need the money. So stop milking your name and glory days and go play small intimidate venues. Do it for your love of playing music. Do it for your love of art. Do it for any other reason other than a money grab and I’ll support you

Such a great song for such turbulent time in the country. I've seen it used in a lot of movies and video's about the 60's and 70's. If you got the right head on it can take you places.

OK, I'm now laughing real hard at myself. I got so many words wrong and I've listened hundreds of times. As a young punk in Hawaii we enjoyed the cow pasture's and all they yielded. One night I swore the Rolling Stones were calling my name. The way they say "rape, murder" sounded like my full name. Others with me agreed with me. Little mild freaking out went on.

    Mick, speak English;)

I have Fiend without a face Cd that I got at the merchandise stand they had set up at a Mastodon concert. I thought it was weird they were selling it there, and I wondered if everyone got a share at the time, but I don't have any of this.
Also that's a cool ass Gretch
