Dan Rooney, Chuck Noll and Joe Greene saved the Steelers from their terrible past
some 55 years ago. I hope Dan's grandchildren are a better owner than his son has been.

Yeah he’s the worst owner ever. We’ve only been to 3 superbowls under his leadership.

 

The really unexpected part for me was just how seriously he took the job. Many people in the political spheres said that the appointment wasn't serious or it was done for recognition for his help of the party. Obviously these comments were made without knowing how involved in Ireland Dan Rooney was and remained until he passed. I mean visiting every county in Ireland, talking to the people, pushing for peace and understanding. He was every bit an Ambassador for his country, his team, and his homeland.
