for some reason we dont get respect in the media. glad to see someone look at the draft objectively. i hope golic jr makes the team. mike and mike talked about the steelers this morning. first time they had reported anything good for us.

well our average grade in 2008 was a B .. so really the grading is a joke.. but its fun to see the various opinions.. of course kiper rates the raven high most years since hes a season ticket holder ot the ravens... but to be honest if any of us steelers fans were in his position we would grade the steelers high each year.. so the grades are useless but fun to read.. especially when we get an A .. but seems overall the grades were higher to both the ravens and bengals than to us ...

They should withhold their grades until at LEAST a year and with us it actually takes even longer than that. Maybe we'll see some fruit from this draft sooner rather than later though. I think our offensive guys will make an immediate impact. Our d guys might have to wait a little longer. Although I did see a story today suggesting that Jones will have a good shot to start.

To me, this draft when it comes to the quality of player is very, very good. That being said, I think we missed out on 2 guys, either of which I would have been much happier to have.

I would have loved to have Arthur Brown. I can see why they wanted Bell, so I would have been happier to have Mauti than V. Williams. Now that being said, being a 2 down LB is not the worst thing in the world, esp. in today's game. As we run more and more dime, 2 guys need to come off the field in order to bring in 2 more DBs. 1 is the NT, but the other would be a LB. Do you want Jones, Timmons or Woodley off the field? Keisel or Hood? I would even argue I would rather have McLendon on the field than potentially Foote, as I just don't like him as well as the splash plays that McLendon has made to this point.

We are not even #1 in our division, most draft experts
have us behind Cincy and Baltimore?
