oh maybe he's giving the rookie qb a limited playbook. pretty sure he will open up the playbook later as the rook gets acclimated to the speed at the nfl level.

Smith needs to open up the offense more running the ball on first down is killing the team, they're paying both Muth and Jonnu $12 million a year 2-3 catches a game for them isn't good enough especially when you don't have a top WR2.

Given how the OL has played, I wonder how much of this is just trying to keep Rodgers in the game.

Yes with all the investment into the TE position you would think we would see some more involvement. I also dont think the first down run is killing us as much as the second and long runs. I understand trying to make 3rd down more manageable but come on man, the whole reason you have Rodgers is to be more aggressive.

Don't know why we need all these TE's and we barely use them .
We had two years to get a real WR2 and chose not too. That's mostly on Arthur Smith.

Anyways a positive in the game is that it seems Derrick Harmon made a difference somewhat and the defense has something to build on there.

I agree with this totally. Steelers games have become psychologically draining and tumultuous. I can't enjoy the wins, because the defense is so awful, but lucky.

Tomlin will never hire anybody who he thinks might be better than himself therefore we always default to mediocre coordinators and assistant coaches.

Until blockers can learn to block it's gonna be ugly.

McCormick with his 'butt block' (done multiple times). Fairly sure Meyer is not teaching OL to turn their backs to the DL:

Arthur Smith got fired in Atlanta for many things. But chief among them was playing crap-ton of 12 and 13 personnel while simultaneously failing to get the ball in the hands of the playmakers on the Atlanta offense.

Stop me if you feel like that sounds familiar.

Also, I can not tell if it is the offensive system failing them or if the Steelers TEs are the most over-rated and over-paid skill position group in the entire league.

Hiring former head coaches proves this isn't true Munchak, Haley, Flores, Smith.

The results are god-awful, he should have gone ages ago, I am convinced the players aren't this bad, year after year after year. The same on defense, it's the same **** every single year.

The coaching on this team is nowhere near good enough.

Unless this is Marshall Faulk the RB,never a good thing to have your RB as the leader in receiving yards even after 3 weeks
