And Flores don't need his defense to have 3-4 turnovers to have a great game.

The current steelers defense live and die by the red zone turnovers and missing FG by the opposing team.,when they don't have those turnovers, they are in trouble

Next week it's going to be a coaching mismatch on both sides of the ballin favor of the vikings but of course the Steelers can win since Wentz can lose a game by himself.

The Vikings got three turnovers against the Bengals returning two of them for TDs.

If one suspends analyzing games and just looks at end results, things are great!

2-1, division lead, and SB bound. Woooo!!

Falcons have a better O line than Steelers. Obviously.

Tomlin will not have them prepared for different time zone, while Vikings will be well rested and ready to hunt bear. Like in 2013.

I agree, but haven't had the time to watch any All-22 and see if they're playing a good amount of zone anyway. My suspicion is they have, because there have been a lot of easy completions in areas notorious for being zone soft-spots.

Spoken like someone who is projecting. I never said anything bad about Najee.

I'm not comparing his YPC, but I do expect it to increase, especially with better oline play. I'm saying he appears to me to have more fight in him than Najee did.

Such a terrible take here. How do you win as many games as the Steelers win if you're game plan is relying on the other team to make mistakes?

I made a post elsewhere where I said I did not see what caused the first fumble by Stevenson, but the defense was responsible for the other takeaways. Cam even said after the game they were aware that the Patriots have turnover issues and we went after that.

You seem to think that when we get a turnover it's because we got lucky. Look at the trend, that is and has been how we play defense. Take the ball away.

I have no idea what will happen in Ireland. Neither do you. Just stop being such a whiner.

How many times did we see Patrick Queen trailing receivers vs getting after the QB? We kept 7 back mostly and played tackle the catch. Teams with better talent will feast against that, just like they would do to us for years before.

I've seen this movie too much in the last few years....Relying too much on turnovers is not a recipe for success in the long run....The steelers were outplayed in the last 3 quarters against a below average team.Overall it was 369-203 for the pats in yards and 26-17 for them in first down...

It's hard to win against very good teams that way and the steelers will play against very good teams like the packers, chargers, ravens twice, bills and lions and if we look at our first 3 games and our last 5 seasons,we have to be realistic and think it doesn't look good if the goal is higher than being a 9-10 wins team and being blowout in the wild card round as the 6 or 7th seed.I won't give false hope again

Once again you are whining about stats.

We were missing key people in our secondary today. We played the zone/tackle the catch defense on the back end. We dictated to them and they fell in step. Brady and company used to beat that defense like a drum. Not so much with this version of the Patriots. These Patriots are notorious for coughing up the football. We are notorious for taking away the football. They got yards, we got takeaways. We win.

I wish Muth was a bigger part of the offensive attack.

We have these three dangerous TE's, why not unleash them?

We have ARod at QB. If it were there he would be throwing to the open man. Even if it were a TE. It's not like the plan is don't throw to the TEs.

I don't think our defensive problems are only due to injuries. The Steelers have had the same defensive problems for years now, regardless of the defensive players, so it's hard to believe in them, even when they're healthy. Maybe they'll convince me in the second half of the season if they are competitive against very good offenses that can run and pass with very good QBs and coaches.

For today our offense was the major issue, and of course, they're the reason why it wasn't a blowout win in the Steelers' favor today. The play calling was way too safe when they were up by only 14-7

The eye test is telling me this team is exactly the same as the last few years. A very average team that can pull out ugly wins to get 9/10 wins and then boat raced in the WC round. The only silver lining is if this o line can improve the offense could become decent. So far the OL isn’t showing any signs of doing so however. The defense has been poor although today they made splash with sacks and turnovers. We need Elliot and Porter back.

We’ve a HOF QB to DK Metcalf for about 30 some yards?

 Glad we got the W, sheesh.

You said we would lose to the Jets, we would beat Seattle, and lose to the Patriots. I believe that's 0-3. LoL
