the steelers only need 1.6 million to sign rookies

    They will have some money to spend come on FA come June. 4+ million in June is a decent amount of cap to have in June.

    Yeah but it's slim pickings by then mostly older veterans that are available.

    It's not the exact same but it's working pretty well for the pats and pens. There will be a lot of vets cut around the league come camp also.

    If they want to sign a player, veteran, rookie, or free agent, and the player wants to be here they'll find a way.

    That figure seems too low Jarvis Jones alone will probably make 1.6 million a year 4/5 million will cover the whole rookie class.

    It's not low. Originally, the draftees would have moved the cap needle approximately 1.57 Mil, but after moving on draft day, the final cap displacement will be $1,626,000 based on the rule of 51.

    To expand on J.Jones for you, his cap hit is $1,583,000, but the net after displacement is $1,103,000
