Disturbing Defensive Stat

No it's not the same, but it's not that easy either. There are many different forms of personal, for many different situations, and downs. You don't just call out 3-4, OK now nickel, ok now dime. You have to call coverages, for each who to double, certain plays who to roll coverage on, different personnel, what type of blitz, and from who, and that's just part of it. The DCs don't carry those big sheets for fun. This is not JRS ,and the run 3 basic D plays.

 

Sure. Now why don't we cut the hyperbole and present whatever it is you have that 'cleared things up long ago'?

I don't care about conspiracy theories. I know what Tomlin has said, and what Butler has said. That's it. If you have wisdom to share counter to that, by all means.

End of day, I don't care who's calling the plays as long as it's effective. IMO, I don't think micromanaging is the right way to go (football or otherwise). I prefer a HC bring someone in that builds their system around what the coach wants to see. The HC (or any manager) can only spin so many plates. Surround yourself with people that know more than you in their area of specialty.

I don't think that's the usual Austin play sheet, if the defense was dominating nobody would be even talking about this. The same every year the defense is struggling so clueless fans have to rehash the same topic over and over .

I found 5 more pictures of him with huge play sheets. You probably picked one from the preseason. I would post them ,but I can't find any that will let me.

 

Butler lied. You know Butler was the DC for Mike Tomlin in Arkansas St. Why would he then come to Pittsburgh, and be the DC under Mike Tomlin again if Tomlin never let him call the plays???

I think that is Lucerne if I remember right. To show how my mind works the one thing I remember about walking across that bridge is the hot blonde that I saw walking pass me.

 

Tomlin still here, no coincidence, defense still sucks.
They ought to make a Tomlin lollipop, with the homers on here, they would make millions licking Mike on a stick!

 

Imagine thinking a HC can just call plays talking into a headset without a play sheet there are calls for all kinds of situations, Butler and Austin are just putting on a show for the camera's I guess .
