We all know our picks take a while to make significant contributions and Colbert is even on record as saying not to expect it (what else could he say really) but looking at our first 4 picks, I think we are going to get immediate returns.

Jones: Ironically, our #1 is the guy I think will get the least from, simply because he has the most difficult position to learn in DL's scheme and also I feel they are committed to Worilds to the extent that it's his job to lose. But I do believe we are going to benefit from using Jones as a pass rushing specialist and if Worilds should falter, Jones will be there to take his job.

Bell: Easiest position of the bunch to make a big impact and has the skills to do it. I don't think they reached for him at all and have our RB for the foreseeable future, the Rooneys want to reestablish the ground game, they just did. He can catch to, Haley is going to have fun with that.

Wheaton: Electric, can hurt you in the slot or by stretching the field, explosive after the catch and also rushed for 5 TD's

Shamarko: I'm very excited about this kid, Lake has some glowing words about him, he's smart and can do a lot of things, doesn't think he will have any difficulty learning the system. I believe we will see quicker results then normal with this position. You can read what Lake had to say here:

We can all hope can't we? LOL I just don't see it with this regime, remember we have
a difficult scheme to adhere to. If you can play you should play, not so around here.

As they say the proof is in the pudding. It seems to me that 3 Super Bowls in 8 years is pretty good freaking pudding.

To an extent, yes. Jarvis Jones will have an immediate impact - 6-8 sacks minimum. Bell will be the starter at RB unless he gets injured or flat-out busts. Wheaton will get touches, particularly as the season progresses. Thomas will be a special teams ace, and 3rd safety (which means he will start at least a game or two for Troy). After that point, I'm not sure anyone besides Landry Jones even makes the 53 man roster.

Dick LeBeau needs to find a way to get these guys on the field Jones and Thomas I think they will both play a lot the defense needs some youth to make plays. Wheaton will play he could be effective on reverses and on special teams he could be brought along like they did with Mike Wallace.

At first glance I would say all of these guys will have an impact on this year except Landry Jones. With the exception of J. Jones I think they brought in a lit of guys that will be on special teams this year. I have a feeling our special teams are going to be pretty good this year. The first three I believe will have an imapct at their actual position this year.
