Well, we can say Green Bay has looked like the best team so far.

Parsons has 1.5 sacks, and the rest of his D is playing great. Watt had a sack turned into a Tackle for a loss, and the rest of the D isn't playing well.
I haven't watched the Browns this year so I have no input on that one. I tend to not argue something that I don't know anything about.

What I recall from the Lebeau days is that Lebeau disguised who was rushing between the DL and all 4 LBs (even DBs). So while the OLBs always came from the same side, who was coming and how they were coming was disguised. The disguise was causing the offense to not be able to tee off the same DL/LB.

What seems to be happening now is that TJ is pretty much always rushing the QB and they're not really disguising much, so the OL/TE/RBs just wait to block/chip TJ.

    We still do that.
Problem is right this instance we are getting gashed on one half of the line, and so when they are bringing the blitz, it going that way a lot to stop the run on the way to the Qb, and it's not helping. Teams are literally staying away from TJs side, outside of a few plays to try , and Keep them honest.

Ya, the other side of the line is playing very bad right now. 3 people block TJ and nothing happens from the other side.

Our disguising, though, seems to be at kindergarten level compared to what Lebeau used to do.

The Browns have a decent defense. Schwartz is no slouch.

It was crazy, I remember every once in a while a defensive linemen would drop into coverage....sometimes a CB would come up aside of the OLB and he would rush while the OLB drops. Hell, Lloyd wasn't that bad dropping into pass coverage. He could run with guys far down field.

I distinctly remember every once in a while Lloyd/Greene would either twist/stunt inside and swap rushing lanes with a DE, or rush up the middle as an ILB in a Nickel situation.

They did it all man, and it was so fun to watch. Lebeau and Capers were mad scientists!!!!

TJ is not only always rushing, he is just rushing around the arc on the outside. ... they haven't changed it up to make teams pay for putting that many guys on his side. They are just praying Highsmith can somehow take advantage of the 1-on-1. Lebeau would have had something for them, no doubt.

The great Coach LeBeau was a master of disguise. He is a Guru!

Bags Tomlin is predictable. And as it continues the league is comfortable scheming against his defense. He has the highest paid defense. Its not working exposing his archaic scheme. And has zero answers but a plethora of excuses. Communication issues. Like we haven't heard that already ad nauseam.
And a new one from Bags that they were "worn down". Two games in?

So they keep having Watt rush from the right side and pepper a few different looks. Not working. Someone else needs to step up. Maybe the Modern Day Warrior todays Jack Sawyer. He had a game against Seattle. Highsmith injured again. Wonder if Herbig's hamstring is still a bit tender. But good news they called up Leal. Good times...

To make Tomlin’s defense go you need 2 pass rushers who show up week in and week out, a play making ILB, and a playmaking safety.

Right now we don’t have any of that. We might have 1 of those things if TJ returns to form.

Honest question, can we please get Minkah back? What would it take?

I believe it seems that way because of having to do it so much on one side. JMO.
I'd actually like them to stop blitzing so much. Almost every big pass play was made on our D with a blitz going on.
Hell on the Seattle 1st td , we brought 7, or 8.
