Didn't they put Warren back there after the fateful turn of events? Not crazy about that, he has way too many other roles to play.

    Like it matters now.
    Damage done.
These guys play football for a living, and still don't know the rules. Lol.
    What a disaster.

I wonder why Calvin Austin doesn't return kicks, is it that much different than punts? He's a top 10 punt returner I don't know why he doesn't return kicks.

They're afraid he'll slap the ball away from the intended kick returner.

I am still hoping to see Roman Wilson returning kickoffs. They said he was doing this in training camp and looked great at it.

I don't think this duty would hurt his playing time, because he is getting none.

Not a surprise to see Johnson pulled. I really don’t think he should’ve been there in the first place. I like him, but he’s not a quick twitch, speed kinda guy… He just wasn’t a good fit IMO.

Busted Johnson should be selling IC beer in the stands. Steelers are only about 6 players away from winning a playoff game.

I'm not giving him a pass. So now they are not going to use him at all? It was a gaff in which he would not do again i'm sure.

He was getting a only a sliver of carries in his natural position.

So are they going to just make him inactive and not give him some carries?

The guy has got 2 offensive snaps in each of the last two games, if he got taken off of the offense like he was on KO returns, you’d hardly notice,

Make Kaleb inactive and bring up Trey Sermon to the 53 as RB3.

Then who goes to the PS?

So its the 3rd game and your going to make Johnson a 3rd round rookie who only has gotten 2 carries per game inactive?

With that logic then why did they draft him let alone in the 3rd round? Would you consider him a bust after 2 games like some have said?

I want to see him toting the rock and keeping him involved.

No he's not a bust yet, you can't call anyone with that little bit of play a bust.

I did not see anything I liked in the kick returns where Kaleb actually caught the ball. I hope to never see him on a Kick Return ever again. He just doesn't have that explosive quickness that is needed for Kick Returns.

It's obvious he isn't going to get many carries right now; no I don't consider him a bust but he's not ready to contribute much right now.

That seemed like a 'stop the bleeding' move during the game. With an additional week, they need it to become someone that is not Warren. Can't have our #1 RB pulling duty on special teams. Too much additional chance of injury as well as adding to his fatigue during a game. I think that they should look at someone like a Roman Wilson. Receiver who is not our #1/2/3 with good speed. Hope that he has the hands for it to go with his speed.

Now....Now??? How can Kaleb possibly have less carries than Now. Where now is 2 games played for 2 carries for -1 yards???

Less Carries would mean he is on the Inactice list come gameday.

If we can get a lead this week on the Pats, I hope to see a little downhill running from Kaleb. His smash mouth RB skills are why we drafted him.

Kaleb Johnson Running Back Iowa | NFL Draft Profile & Scouting Report (You will notice they don't talk about his return Skills)
A smart team will snag him in the second round and plug him in as their RB1 from day one. His combination of size, vision, and proven production against elite competition makes him one of the safer picks in this class. While he may need some early down spelling as he develops his pass protection, Johnson has all the tools to be a 1,200+ yard rusher who dominates in the red zone and wears defenses down in the fourth quarter. This is the kind of back who will make his offensive line look better and help control games in December.

I think Kaleb Johnson is finding out the difference between the NFL and college football those big holes he had in college aren't there in the NFL.

I have high hopes for him too. Everything from his history says that he should be a solid player. What is horrible right now is that the few times he has touched the ball, he has done the complete opposite of being a solid player. Does he have the jitters from being in the NFL? Is he intimidated from being around all of his boyhood heroes? Is he overwhelmed from a new playbook, new rules and new strategies? I don't know. But, he does seem to be playing like someone with no confidence and the latest event will not help that. He needs some play time where he gets a handoff and can bullrush the middle. No need to think much, just a downhill run to build some confidence......imo

He is a 3rd round draft pick. We can't give up on him after 2 games.
