Some problems never seem to go away regardless of players.

How many years do I need to hear about communication in the secondary?

Is there an NFL team that is not set up that way? What team is not based on most of your guys beating most of their guys on a given play?

Are there coaches out there drawing up plays that have 7 of their guys getting their butts kicked by design?

How do you make up for years of poor drafting and player development.

Pretty sure I heard the same thing last year that communication was an issue. I think Minkah was the scapegoat for that one. If communication was so bad how did they end up with a pretty darn good record and then get smoked in the playoffs

Seattle had 7 on the OL blocking 5 Steelers. No need to beat your man. Simply outnumbered.

Playing defense is overrated. Just play better offense.

It's drivel from guys that are looking for clicks, and guys that don't really understand Football lap it up.
No matter what plays you run, You need to beat the guy in front of you. It's funny. Lebeau was here...., and his system was said by many of the complainers to be antiquated, and too difficult for rookie to grasp so he must go.
Then Butler was here, and the complainers said we blitzed too much so he must go, and then Austin was here, and the complainers said we didn't blitz enough, and it's too simple.
    LoL.
Complainers are going to stick to what they know, no matter what changes come.

    Hopefully.

On a side note, it’s always striking how small these lineman are after they’re done playing.

That would work if we could post 45+ points a game. We couldn't even do that with the Killer B's and a Pro Bowl OL.

it’s all correctable. Our starting offense first saw the field together in week one. The same is almost true with the starting defense.although, they lost Harmon before week1. Since then the defense has lost 4 more starters. This isn’t madden where everything works with the press of a button. It actually takes time and practice. Unfortunately practice is severely limited by the cba. Our defense wasn’t bad the first three quarters last week and definitely showed improvement over week 1. We lost the game because of two stupid mistakes. One by Austin and one by the rookie.

Stop, stop , stop the rational thinking. It's apparently more realistic to say everything sucks, we suck, and the season is over at Week 2. LoL

But they in actuality aren't. We did get 2ints, and had a fumble last week. Yes it looks bad, but I see everyone is basically staying away from TJs side, and people are actually acting like having 4 Starters not playing on one side of the ball shouldn't effect us.
    We are 1-1. Not 1-6.
Things change week to week in the NFL....just ask all the ..... I told you we should've kept Justin Fields folks. LoL

I am not following. I missed Seattle playing multiple tackle eligible at a time. Or do you mean they max protected with in line TEs and the Steelers didn't break through? Pass rush? Or are we counting TEs and FBs during running plays?

This post is too rationale to be on the internet. Please be sure to use more hyperbole and exaggeration in future postings. This is a fan message board, sir.

During the Bettis years, Bettis and the OL used to talk about how it was Week 4 or 5 before it all came together in the OL and running game.

I think they underestimated the impact Minka was having in protecting the middle of the field for pass defense.

You trade away and All Pro like Minka and there is going to be a letdown for whoever is trying to fill his shoes.

and as a unit i think that is possible to believe. the problem is the player. jones has been trying to get his footwork and hand usage fixed for 3 years now. that is a player problem not a unit problem. seumalo having trouble is a nagging injury and age problem. those again are a player problem and not a unit problem. they both are on an important side of the line together. the right side unit will have some growing pains but the left shouldn't be having the player problems at this point.
