TJ wasn’t very good rushing on the right if anyone remembers his rookie year.

But he's not. The actual highest paid non Qb only has 1.5 sacks. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo:shrug:
And I bet they didn't take away a sack from him, and call it a tackle for a loss.

This drives me crazy. I'm sorry, but it does.
How many times did Greg Lloyd, Green, Porter, Harrison, Woodley, and our other OLBs since Cowher started coaching, and we changed to a 3-4 were moved all over???
None. Difference is they all had someone on the other side, yet for some crazy reason since we can't seem to find anyone that can actually stay healthy, and produce double digits on the otherside , people want to make Watt the 1st to do it.

When Watt was in negotiations for his last contract he said that he would be willing to move around the LOS more often than in the past. I don’t have the exact quote but I do remember him saying that or something there of. Last week he moved over to the right side on one play that I know of. I don’t believe he did it much at all week one. The only way he will be effective going forward is if he stunts and comes from different angles. Our defensive coaching staff does not use our players in a way that confuses the other team. That has been a problem since Dick LeBeau left.

I meant at the time of Watt signing his contract he was the highest paid non-QB, so now we're counting almost sacks . Also the Packers defense dominated two playoff teams and is one of the best defenses, the Steelers not so much.

You're asking the wrong question here.

Who has more "almost plays"? That's how you know who the better player is. :drinks:

Come on don't be @Steelersfan43@Steelersfan43 , and move the goal post, you were talking about sacks , not on this post , not the overall D of the team, and the highest paid player outside of a Qb has a total of 1.5. Also it wasn't a almost sack, it was a sack turned into a tackle for loss. You can disagree all you like , but that's what it was. You know it, I know it, and I know TJ knows it

Parsons isn't playing all of the snaps because of an injury, and the Packers are the best team in the NFL. Sorry Watt doesn't have a sack even if it was taken away, what's next we're going to count pass rush win rate as a sack .

Watt is not the same player right now but he is also not in a good situation.Opponents have been able to take Watt away since last year by limiting his impact and the coaching staff has been unable to adjust....They have run out of ideas

He’s being neutralized and they dont have someone on the other side. It’s insanity to keep doing the same thing, move him around, try something, anything.

Watt was resistant to moving around last season he has moved around some this season, maybe they should try to blitz a player off of Watt's side.

Part of the problem is the QBs are getting the ball out faster.

Well the "Guru" of Defense Bags Tomlin scheme is dated and predictable. Its been for some time. Now again the highest paid with shrinking results. Historic

As far as Watt is concerned his lack of sacks streak has carried into the season totaling 6 games now. Opposing offenses have adjusted and learned how to neutralize him. Sorry to say Highsmith is not a threat. When they are neutralizing Watt Highsmith should be feasting. I believe that Herbig is a better pass rusher then Highsmith.

I do believe that 13 would be the number.

Its Bags Tomlin. Austin is just his puppet.

It’s only 2 games, and Watt hasn’t played badly. But I does look like he’s lost some quickness. Teams are scheming him. He might get 10 sacks, it seems iffy. But I’ll bet he’s never near the league lead again.

I don't think that's the way to go. They are attacking where he is not, if You move him they will still attack where he is not. The thing to do is find someone to help on the other side. Once Heyward gets back in shape that will help a bit, but I don't know if You have watched, Highsmith is getting abused out there.
I watched a 7, or 8 man blitz on the Seattle's 1st td, and it was ridiculous how bad Highsmith was doing on it. Heyward was doubled if I remember correctly, and Highsmith looked like he was trying to find a open lane like he was a RB, instead of a OLB.

What the hell, they did drop him into coverage, and anyone watching is seeing them playing away from him. People if the Defense is already playing away from him, if You move him they will do the same. It's not hard to flip a play the opposite way. All the teams have key words for this.

No team is the best team in the NFL by week 2.
That's like everyone saying we should have kept Fields after week one.
