Just one example of Tomlin's poor decision making. He has no clue when to take risks and when to not take risks.

Agreed. Holcomb is more of a thumper like what Elandon Roberts was.

With better preparation we couldve beaten a mediocre seahawks team at home. Lack of knowledge on kickoffs and a poor route killed us, although the defense was not good enough to help overcome those mistakes. With better coaching we might be a 9-10 win team. As is, i think we’re staring at a losing season.

Interesting enough, there was a series in the RZ where Wilson was yanked and they put Holcomb in.

Tomlin appears to be suffering from Russell Wilson's disease.... Mr. Positivity

He also said he thought the run D was much improved. He has truly lost his mind.

Walker had over 100 rushings yards on like 13 runs!

Thank god the other seahawks RB had 10 yards on 15 runs!

If we had hot black and gold cheerleaders that would be #2.

I was surprised to hear that fact, so I looked.
124 yards. ~3.4 yards per carry and I am still surprised.

Arthur Smith is supposed to be a ground guy to set play-action.

Even more surprising is Yards before contact.
Warren is 3.4 (exactly what his yds/carry is) which is 6th ranked?!
He's ranked #2 in explosive run rate (Warren does squirm out of tackles ans can break off big runs)
And he's ranked #6 is success rate.

    Gainwell is around ~2.7 yds/contact.

It almost indicates the O-line is doing it's job.
But they only have 37 carries.
I think they are somewhere near 50/50 pass to run?

We have a 3rd conversion rate of 40% (Ranks 18th)
Ravens 50.5% and Bengals 46.7% are converting better.

I have to admit, Smith's offense isn't what I expected so far.
But then again, there's a lot of room for improvement on O-Line.
The TE's aren't involved as much as I anticipated.

And as mentioned, our WR's are less than adequate.
Metcalf despite the 4 drops, has 74 YAC and 5 1st downs. That's not tearing up the stats but he is doing his job. I think he stands out more as there really is no one picking up the other side.
Calvin Austin is not commanding any doubles.
At this point, Roman Wilson can't even get on the field.

Since Rogers has 7 sacks, I think the O-line is problem. We can't have 3.5 sacks per game and our run game should be around 250 yds and we have to get that 3rd down conversion to near 50% and even strive for better which means keep away from 3rd and long. Currently we average 6.9 yards - again indicative of a weak run game and/or play selection.

One of the problem for the steelers offense since several years is not their 3rd down%,this is the fact they are too often on 3rd down, one of the most in the NFL on almost every year

Same old, same old, different faces come and go, but nothing changes, same constants remain though...

That's why they ranked so high in total plays on offense despite having a lousy offense, it's because they never get anywhere on 1st and 2nd down.

They gave up 182 yards rushing to the Jets, but it was about 70 yards less to the Seahawks.

I will say 3-4 of those sacks are on Rodgers holding the ball too long.
