People are getting all excited about a Qb that had one good game in a loss no less, against a team He played for, knows, and had all off season to game plan against. Hope this thread is still allowed on here after about the middle of the season .
People you do know that the Jets beat the Bills the 1st game of last season.

I imagine that this thread will still be in effect for at least the remainder of this season. Given how Tomlin wanted to go after Rodgers, it will be interesting to see what happens for Fields from here on out for the remainder of the 2025 Season. Just have to wait and see what else Fields can do for New York.

I can say this though; if he cannot succeed with the Jets, I doubt he isn't getting another starting shot elsewhere. Now or never for him.

Agreed. In his last two games with the Steelers Fields completed 57% of his passes for a total 276 yards, 6 sacks, 2 fumbles.

And yes, 4 tuddies. But let's not act like his game was on the rise when the change was made.

That's the way I look at it. Our game with the Jets is over and we came out of it with a win. If Fields plays great the rest of the season and can knock off the Ravens and Bengals for us then good for him.

There were three Steelers at the line to gain. So it wasn't going to be a cakewalk. Plus, getting up, getting everyone to the line, and spiking the ball was going to take time they didn't have. He made the right call, it's just Ramsey made a great play.

Ah . At least I have this thread to cheer me up. LoL.
Fields........LoL. 3 completions, and a fumble. Hell they had to bring in another Qb just so they could score. LoL. Please leave this thread up. LoL
Fields was so bad the Bills were whopping them , and Josh Allen didn't have to do anything. LoL

    Fields:

sucked yesterday. and concussed (I said last week he was LUCKY he was not concussed then) Not a hater, he just is not built for long term as a starter in this league.

So this makes the Steelers look even worse. Fields made our defense look stupid but was absolutely horrible against a Bills defense that gave up 40 points the week before.

well - yes. We have been playing paper-mache for years on defense.

developing players has lacked for YEARS.

JP Jr. is nothing special either, IMO.

the defenders will....defend. we are a mediocre organization. that is all we are.

no where close to competing for anything

Thats one of the main issues that doesn't get talked about enough. The development of players has dropped significantly. Every other 1st pick is not only a bust, but a massive bust. And that takes a toll on a team that focuses it's construction on the draft.

    Not really.
I tried telling people last week that ......
    1. Fields practiced against this Defense all the time for a whole season.
    2. Fields was super dialed in to beat us, and....
    3. Fields would not be playing against a team they had all off season, with his knowledge of the team , to prepare for......., but did anyone listen.......Nooooooo.
People said how dumb we were for letting him go. LoL

    Woe...
This is dropping too low. Where is @Steelersfan43@Steelersfan43 with his little X statements every few minutes about how dumb they were to let Fields go???
    It's too quiet.

Fields was awful against the Bills, he looked lost out there.

Didn't even take that long for Justin to slide. He came out and laid an egg and looks horrible and still has the issue of his inability to work the middle of the field. He has legs. That's about it

Fields is out with a concussion next week. Aaron Glenn said that Tyrod Taylor will get the start.
