So it looks like we won't have to face Burrow this season.

I know modern medicine is quite advanced today, but turf toe ended HOF Jack Lambert's career.
Do we know for sure that this indeed a 3 month injury?

Jake Browning is better than Joe Burrow.

Joe Burrow is a China doll and is injury prone. Can’t be elite if you can’t stay on the field. When he’s healthy he is one of the best in the game if protected but once he’s pressured it’s usually down and out he goes.

Toe injuries, along with Achilles injuries, are some of the most difficult ones to fully repair and heal. Just recently, Sports Doctors just figured out new medical techniques and procedures to fully restore knee injuries. Lower body injuries are terrible.

I myself can attest; pulling my groin twice already. Thankfully no tears but still. Stuff hurts. Moreover to the point?! It is going to take at least another decade or so before Achilles injuries are no longer career killers for sports in general; same goes for toe injuries as well... if not longer.

Jake Browning threw 3 picks yesterday and threw 3 in his only game last year. He is terrible.

    Is anyone surprised though?!

Cincinnati's ability to draft and develop players has been atrocious since the 1990s sans a couple of exceptions. This goes doubly so for the Offensive Line. Bad pick after bad pick for decades on end at this point; Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler being the only exceptions to the rule. Joe Burrow isn't blameless though either; his tendency to hold onto the ball far too long being just as major of a reason for him getting beat up no less.

Overall, Cincinnati is gonna have to play lights out for the rest of the season. For that matter, Zac Taylor will be coaching for his job in 2025; fair or not. If the team is unable to get to the playoffs this season, Taylor is as good as gone.

Ben Roethlisberger took all those hits and more and continuously bounced right back up. He actually got carted off the field in Cincinnati with Bungles fans cheering and throwing beer bottles at him only to come back in the 4 th quarter to win a come from behind victory. Joe Burrow barely gets breathed on and he’s out for the season. Joe is made of glass. If he took half the hits Josh Allen has had he’d be permanently disfigured.

I did say Joe isn't exempt from blame. I never said he was innocent. Regardless though, you are correct.

But I think the job of Taylor is safe if the bengals are not a total disaster for the next few months....remember the bengals keep Marvin Lewis for 16 years!

No, it is specified as a minimum of 3 months. If they are out of it, definitely expect him to be shut down. The things going for him are that it is his left foot (non-plant) and being a QB. But his mobility would likely be affected if he comes back too soon.
