Oh yeah, no doubt. Thats a lot more important and gets overlooked. It reminds me of the people that say Bell is a slow RB. His 10 yard split was only slower than Christine Michael in the draft class. That means he has pretty good explosion, and I'm much more interested in explosion than long speed. At least for positions like olb and rb.

If Woodley is cut after this year, the Steelers will have about 14 million in dead money.

Worilds and Woodley were both injured last year. The current backups are a huge question imo.

The pick is ok to me.

Part of me wonders if we would have taken Vacarro had he been on the board. Ah well, absolutely no point playing 'what ifs'.

Really, though, this draft is all about the middle to late rounds for us. We need to shore up so many positiions, no one pick is going to be the answer. OLB was one position that needed looking at, so I'm good with this pick.

Neither Timmons or Woodley started their rookie year Timmons was behind Farrior and Foote but Woodley got some playing time off the bench.

"If you want to crown them then crown them!" Haha yeah right the bungles will never comapre to us. Every team can get good from time to time but we compete almost every year

Apparently, Jones has run a 4.74 in the past. The Pro Day workout was coming off a hamstring injury so that could be part of the deal.

this situation is good for jones he's gon play a lil if he shines then he'll play more. This reminds me of the timmons situation alot of us thought he was a bust they developed him and now he is a MONSTER for us this same scenario might be the plan depth is what is needed which now we seem to have.I do agree woodley gon hafta step it up but his job is safe contingent on stellar play if these youngsters pan out then he may trade meat

    He's not a Woodley replacement, he's a JH replacement.
He's not a Woodley type LB, but he is a JH type LB.

    Good pick

Nah, that's not it. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that Tomlin and Colbert told him to hold back a little on that 40 time so we'd have a shot at him.

NO chance woodley gets cut...it will count about 13 mil in dead cap space next year....never happen

My favorite sack in Jones' career is against Alabama. He uses pure speed off the edge to get around DJ Fluker, absorbs an attempted low block while simultaneously being hit by Eddie Lacy. Jones blows Lacy up, keeps his balance, sacks and strips the QB and causes a turnover.

This 1 play is what Jarvis Jones is all about.

Not my favorite sack of his, but a great example of who he is. 1 minute in.
