I believe Heyward not having any real practice this year, so out of shape, no Harmon, and a lot of new guys is why they did what they did. If week 4 it's still like this, then I'm really worried.
Also even in our best running Defense, certain teams could run on us. Remember how no matter how good our D was, Jacksonville could run on us with many different backs, all the way back to Jacksonvilles 1st years.

 

I agree, but Steelers replaced him with Donnell Woolford who had been in the league for 8+ years at that point... aging Woodson was still better at CB than Woolford was.

 

Agreed. They should have both worked it out.

At least the health care in Europe kicks ass. If you're gonna get injured... Western Europe is a good place to get hurt.

 

Heyward has never been a guy who is ripped up, but he looks like he's carrying an extra 10-15lbs. It's laughable when they post him at 295lbs .

 

It isn't "fairy tale land", it is something that could have happened if we wanted. We instead chose to turn the keys over to Najee for another season. We obviously made the wrong choice.

 

Why would we need Henry when you kept telling how great Warren is .

 

Why be disappointed? Sure, there wasn't much running room... but it's not like he was ineffective overall. Still caught a couple big balls (one of which turned into a TD). The only thing I was disappointed in was that we didn't give him a bit more opportunity (at Gainwell's expense).

Warren has seen the same thing Najee did while he was here. I don't understand the sentiment. Warren's usage was similar and he ran behind the same line that Najee. He just did better on average than Najee did with his opportunities.

 

I'm really high on Warren, but lets be clear... Derrick Henry is probably the best RB in the game right now (Barkley being the only exception). It's really not that hard of an explanation.

 

He had 9 combined fumbles in 2023 and 2024(offense and ST combined) and he had not that many touch....Likely the reason why he is gone!

 

hope for a speedy recovery. poor mrs. jeh. you will have to help her eat some foods and no that doesn't mean you get to eat half of it. well unless she's not looking. hehe

make the best of the situation. hope all this doesn't stop the enjoyment of the trip. you are right. i was back in the hospital Monday until Tuesday night with fluid around the heart after what i assumed was a good report from Friday. the A-Fib put a hurting on my output. fixed the meds and they say it should return. i really have to watch sodium now. yuck. but hey i've done it before. i expect the hardest thing for you guys will be the use of facilities and hauling luggage. good luck.

 

Aw geez Jeh. That's horrible. To make her feel better try and find the Nestle's Chocolate Factory northwest of Interlaken between Thur and Bern. When I was there you could grab as many free mini sample bars as you could carry out (or eat on the premises). Enjoy those train rides. I am, as you know, extremely jealous of you right now for being in Switzerland AND getting to travel all around via train. I'll consume some Swiss chocolate tonight in yours and the Mrs'. honor. Be careful though around those Swiss Miss's.

 

And on an exclamation point added to last Sunday's thrilling W, Xavier Gipson, the generous WR fellow who fatefully coughed up the ball on that late KO return, has been cut by the JETS. If this holds true, guess Derrick Henry will be next?

He had different opportunities. This has been explained many, many times on the board, but many folks prefer to shove their heads into the sand rather than understand it.

When they tried moving him into Harris's old role, he was mostly ineffective as a runner and was apparently unable to take as much of the workload as Harris used to do.
