Fast fact: Per CBS Sports - AR is the only QB in last 60 years to throw for 4 TDs, > 240 yds with no INTs in their debut with a team. Not sure who would have done that last in 1975?

We have a first, a second, three thirds, two fourths, two fifths, two sixths, and a seventh. We can get linemen.

Oh I don't disagree...I just meant in the 1st...not passing on a high board QB for an OL.

Sounded good. I checked it out and in 1975 he was in his 5th year with NE. In 1976 (which may be the 60 years prior stat referenced) he was shipped to SF and his 1st game was a W against GB but he only threw for 104 yds, 2 TDs with 1 INT (as best I can tell). Not sure how to do the reverse AI analytics to find out who it was, especially when that was still a run based era and someone heaved 4 TD passes. Hmmm. :hmm:

Edit: Asked AI who threw 4 TDs in a game in both 1975 and 1976 and Namath did it in 1975 but not his 1st game with NYJ and then Staubach and Stabler did it in 1976 but again, not their 1st games with their team. Stabler did it also in 1974 but late in the season and Griese did it in 1977 (6 TDs) but later in the season. Now makes me wonder if the statistician even knew what they were talking about with the 1st game with a team?

Well not only can't I figure out AI inquiries, but my simple math is erroneous - 60 years ago was 1965 (or 1966) not 1975/76. Derrrr.....I'll ask the Magic 8 Ball again.

Edit: OK, in 1966 both Bart Starr and Bobby U had 4 TD games, but both had been playing for years with their teams at that point. But, in 1965, Gary Cuozzo, Bobby U's backup for the Balt Colts had a 5 TD game against the Vikings in his 1st start (but not 1st game) with the Colts. But, he only threw for 208 yds (and 5 TDs?????) and had 0 INTs. Possibly this is the answer to the Riddle of the Sphinx? Close perhaps but doesn't check all the boxes of 4 TDs, >240 yds, 0 INTs and "1st" game period with a team. What AR pulled off is indeed quite a noble feat and from what I can tell, may have been a 1st ever, not 1st in 60 years. Well done Sir! :drinks:
