Unfortunately Henry/Warren would've been a killer combo. In hindsight simply trading Najee for litrally anything and signing Henry at his number would have made a huge difference for us. Henry would get the most carries and get subbed out sometimes in passing downs and for a breather series or 2 a game. That would be less than 15 million a year in salary cap space well spent.

Well, its not the first time we've be unprepared for a game defensively if you take the players' word for it. It doesn't seem to be the case with the offense, even when the offense struggled. But Austin (mainly Tomlin) seem to not be able to get the defense ready to play ball against our opponent. The "load up with good players and hope for the best" strategy only gets you so far.

Classic. Tomlinism 1: We dont concern ourselves with what other teams do.
Tomlinism 2: We gonna do what we do, nothing changes that.

Yea I think that is becoming very clear. Benton isn’t big enough to play in the middle. At least not in a 3-4

At least the Steelers offense showed up in the first half. Normally they are slow starters and the defense needs to keep them in the game. I think Rodgers exceeded everybody's expectations.

After Benton was drafted Karl Dunbar insisted that Benton was going to play NT and not DE.

Well, how could our coaches have known we were playing vs. a mobile QB? You demand too much of them…

Exactly the old Cap'n James T. Kirk mask redone to make Michael mask.

I'm not buying that they play Lamar Jackson twice a year, Fields was doing some of the same type of runs.

It was a Cap'n Kirk mask bought at the store down from where they were making the movie, and they spruced it up with paint, and a bit of other things. I heard John Carpenter talk about it on a special Halloween DVD back in the day.

Winner. Watt was playing the mesh points perfectly untill that one little brain fart that allowed the easy TD run. They knew , what was killing them was they couldn't stop the run on Heyward, and Highsmith side, and that was opening everything else up.

I was glad the Steelers got the victory the Jets were acting too cocky, their HC flexing on the sidelines the Steelers humbled those guys.

I was pleasantly surprised by both Rodgers and Art Smith for not having had any experience together in an actual game. Rodgers proved he is still an elite arm and brain even at 41.

    Positives

    Rodgers.

CA 3 played a solid game and looked like a #2.

Ramsey is a big time player who can be moved all around.

Art Smith had a good game.

    Boz is ridiculous.

    Negatives

B Jones. One of the worst games from a LT I have seen. He better get his **** together quick or he can torpedo the season by getting A Rod killed.

O Line Run Blocking. Again a big part is Jones but he wasn’t the only issue. Just a poor push in general up front.

Run D just as a whole. Blame the D Line Blame the Backers just a complete meltdown all around.

Slay. Looks old and slow. Another washed CB brought in too late.

Injuries. Tough being down Elliot and JPJ in the secondary if they both miss time.

Great post...I did not expect our offense have a great game vs Jets.

And for Jones,he was as bad that Jonathan Scott, maybe the worst LT in steelers history with at least 10 starts.....He started a super bowl game in 2010 too.

I think Slay can still play not as bad as Peterson was here, but don't have him trying to cover WR1 that should be Ramsey and Porter Jr.

Disappointed in warrens performance? He is just seeing what Najee’s been seeing for the last 5 years.
