Boswell deserve a lot of credit for this win but this game would been a blowout for the Jets without Rodgers because of the o-line and defense....

You have a good point. He didn't even make Lab's Steelers digest list although Gainwell did:

    https://www.steelers.com/news/rodgers-is-steelers-digest-player-of-the-week
    AARON RODGERS
    Quarterback

    Here's the list:

He completed 73.3 percent. No turnovers. Four touchdown passes. Three-for-three in the red zone. Two-for-two in goal-to-go situations. He led a 10-play, 71-yard touchdown drive on their opening possession after the Jets had taken an early lead. He led a 6-play, 39-yard drive on their last possession to erase a 32-31 deficit.

When you add it all up, that's big-time NFL quarterback play, and it went a long way in helping the Steelers open their 2025 season with a 34-32 victory over the Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Aaron Rodgers is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Chris Boswell, whose 60-yard field goal with 63 seconds left was the difference in the outcome; it was the longest field goal in franchise history; it was his second field goal of the afternoon (the first being a 56-yarder in the second quarter) and it gave him 10 points total; Jalen Ramsey, who had 3 tackles, 1 hit on the quarterback, and 2 passes defensed, one of which came on fourth-and-3 with 18 seconds left; Calvin Austin III, who caught 4 passes for 70 yards (17.5 average) and a 19-yard touchdown; Alex Highsmith, who had 8 tackles, 1 sack, and 3 hits on the quarterback; Chuck Clark, who replaced the injured DeShon Elliott at safety, and had 5 tackles, including 1 for loss, and 3 special teams tackles; DK Metcalf, who had 83 yards on 4 catches (20.8 average); Patrick Queen, who had 8 tackles and 1 hit on the quarterback; and Kenneth Gainwell, who had 23 yards from scrimmage plus a tackle and a forced fumble on special teams that led directly to a touchdown during a 14-point explosion during a 50-second span early in the fourth quarter.

As a team we didnt seem to have a lot of passion early he made a big play to keep us in the game ..He made a big tackle early in the 4th if i remember correct that brought emotion and then later in the game he out hustled the return guy and that changed the tide again.... He should have at least been on the list...

Aaron’s numbers today: 22-of-30 passing for 244 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. I ran it through a calculator and his rating was 136.67. When was the last time a Steelers QB equalled that?

Without Skenebrow, Rodgers or boswell, we would have not won.

Today was an actual team win. except for defense, minus watt and Ramsey.

Also worst player today was fat grandpa heyward. Dudes just a couple twinkies away from trying to be a couch potato.

There's a lot of players that contributed big in certain spots. There's a few players that contributed big during the entire game.

The unfortunate dark side to all of this is that our defense was so terrible against the run that a lot of players had to really step up at times to keep us in the game.

He is starting to resemble Casey Hampton. If he starts walking with his legs apart, we will know the transformation is complete.

Actually, Casey looks pretty good nowadays! He took off a LOT of weight after he retired, so Casey doesn’t look like Casey anymore. Big Snack should now be called Healthy Snack. The only Steeler I have seen with so dramatic a physical change after retirement would be Alan Faneca.
