I wish to god I was going to this but maybe next time. What an amazing City and country it is for anyone visiting. Hopefully it can be a special memory for all. Guinness supplies need topping up for the visit of Steelers fans for sure.

Ill be sipping Guinness from Madrid whilst watching on TV.

Awesome! I have the NFL Network and it will bring back memories of Hawaii where I had to watch the Steelers early in the AM. Certainly not the quality of todays broadcast.

The game or the link? Here's the story.

Steelers will turn Emerald Isle black and gold to celebrate game in Dublin

To celebrate the Pittsburgh Steelers’ upcoming Dublin, Ireland game this month, the team and Irish airline Aer Lingus are launching a series of fan events and activities — with the goal of turning the Emerald Isle black and gold.

The first-ever NFL regular season game in Ireland will take place on Sunday, Sept. 28, when the Steelers face the Minnesota Vikings at Dublin’s Croke Park.

Steelers legends will be present for the weeklong takeover of events in Ireland, the team said.

The Ireland-based activities can be found on the Steelers website, the team said, along with specific details. Key events include:

    • Steelers Pro Shop will open Sept. 4 in Dublin, which will house exclusive Steelers gear that is part of the Ireland Collection. In the U.S., fans can purchase Ireland Collection gear online
    • Max Starks, former Steelers player and radio personality, will travel across Ireland in a Steelers-branded van to give out Terrible Towels from Sept. 22-24. The event is dubbed the “Terrible Towel Tour”
    • Fitzsimons Temple Bar, the world-famous pub in Dublin’s Temple Bar District, will become the Steelers Pub and headquarters for the entire weekend from Sept. 26-28. There will be live content, giveaways, Steelers legends and more
    • A Steelers Tailgate at Merrion Square will take place from Sept. 26-28. The free event will have entertainment, merchandise for sale, photo ops, giveaways and flag football, as well as a watch party on Sunday for those not attending the game. Fans must RSVP to attend
“We are thrilled to play in Ireland and give our fans a truly unique gameday experience,” said Steelers President Art Rooney II. “We can’t wait to see our devoted and enthusiastic fans — both our Irish fans and those who are traveling to Dublin to attend the game.”

I traveled to the Interlocken/Meirengen area 20 some years ago. Home of the Sherlock Holmes Swiss Museum. Loved it all Including taking the Pendolino down to Florence.

NFL football is becoming big internationally. If other nations could play it on a higher level ( most can not, there are several club teams internationally ) it would be even bigger.

The greedy NFL will eventually have an 18 game season and yes it has been floated what you said above and it would align.

The amount of individuals who miss work after the Super Bowl (22.6 million in 2024) is large.

Last two weddings I've attended during a Steeler game are now divorced. That's what they get. LoL
One was during a playoff against KCs, and I only got to watch the 1st half.
