I noticed that too. Did they have anything to say about our previous pick?

good pick again. don't forget we have moye and buress as tall guys. moye could stick around on the PS another year. as for this year we got a good receiver with speed if sanders goes down. so far so good steelers. happy, happy, happy.

I just watched some youtube highlights of Wheaton and the thing that worries me is that he would beat his guys but then wound up getting caught. He can catch though but he doesn't seem like a burner to me from what I saw on there. Most of the Steelers fans commenting on there seem to be disgusted that we picked him. But I trust the front office though.

Yeah, that was the Redskins. I think the smurfs were just the smaller part of the whole receiving unit. Art Monk was their #1 and he wasn't small, 6-3 or 6-4

I would have rather had a taller wide receiver that can be a big target and help with redzone but this guy looks good nonetheless... just seems like more of the same tho...

When it comes to the draft...all the "experts" can rank and evaluate and so on all the players they want...and say this is where they are going to go. But when it comes to the teams...they have their own systems and rankings/etc.

If a team has a player highly rated and want him that bad...they will take him no matter what round. See Bruce Irvin last year and the OL the Cowboys took in the 1st this year. THATS what it comes down to...not all the rankings by the experts or what any of us think or anything. And it still amazes me when people get bent out of shape and say oh that player was ranked as 5th and they took him in the 3rd or something like that.

They could still draft another WR, Maybe Rodgers? hmmmm...hmmmm? I doubt it though, he's a head case.

They're talking about Wheaton on 970. On comparison to Wallace "He's stronger, catches the ball with his hands better, better route runner".

I'm not hating either pick tonight . The FO has been hanging off Bell's jock since early Feb, so I'm not surprised they went 2 nd for him. Early maybe, but good pick. Wheaton can play some ball, and what you are forgetting is Haley likes the quick dink and dunk stuff and Wheaton can flat run! He can turn a 7 yd pass into 50 real quick. I'm cool with the picks tonight. Other than the fact both the Bengals and Ravens have drafted quite well. Cincy brought their A game and the Ravens stole Brown!
